Amazing and complete experience
This was an amazing tour. Rogelio was our guide. He is local and very knowledgable. We skipped all the difficult hiking and instead drove motorcycles to the highest point possible. Then, the little walk up to the top of the mointain was way more maneagable for us (living at sea level). Afterwards, we drove ATVs around the area were we watched alpaca and llama farming and Mountain Ausangante. It felt that this was much more of a complete experience than the hiking only tours. Also, the brakfast and lunch by locals was really good! Thank you so much for this experience!

Rainbow Mountain Hike
The Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley are a sight to see - obviously a little different than what you see in photos online but still fantastic to visit. The hike itself isn’t too difficult, but the elevation is extremely high so it can make it difficult to breathe. Acclimatize and drink lots of water/coca tea before doing this hike. Alex was a fantastic guide and helped a lot in moments where we weren’t feeling well.

Gary and Roman were our tour guides and they did a great job leading the charge on this very busy itinerary. It’s a smaller group which makes the activities much more manageable. This is a great option for seeing sacred valley and having the tour operator handle the ticketing situation at Machu Picchu which can be very challenging. Feedback for the company—the lunch stop was disappointing! Service was slow and food was way overcooked. Would’ve been nice to let the tourists choose their own restaurants or offer a more authentic restaurant. The hotel booked in Aguas Calientes (Hotel Ferre) was very bare bones. Lastly, I didn’t like that after I paid for this tour, I had secondary requests for payment for the admittance tickets. Would’ve liked to see that be priced up front.

Amazing
such an amazing experience!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this one. We were picked up directly from our hotel and transported about 1.5 hours into the mountains where the workshop is. We began the workshop by learning about dying the yarn. We even got to go into the forest and collect the plants to dye the yarn. We learned about all the different materials we could use, and then dyed our own yarn. We learned how to spin yarn as well. We ate a delicious lunch and then began weaving! Each traveler in our group got a private teacher. Most of them only spoke Quechua, a native Peruvian/Incan language. Despite the language barrier, they were so patient and kind. The weaving was hard! This was such an amazing cultural experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. We learned so much and even my husband, who isn’t particularly crafty, really enjoyed it. Well worth the price.
