There is a low-cost entry fee for Banul Beach (generally starting at 150 Philippine pesos, so bring small peso bills), but the main expense is paying for your boat to get there. Shared tours start at around US$50 per person, including entrance fees and lunch, while private custom tours by speedboat are available starting at US$180 per person, including lunch but excluding entrance fees.

Yes, Banul Beach is worth visiting, but it’s just one of many beautiful beaches in Coron. Since it’s close to Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon, it’s well worth stopping by to soak up the atmosphere if you’re in the area. Note that it can be very busy at lunchtime.

Banul Beach is on the northwestern edge of Coron Island, about 3 miles (5 kilometers) south of Coron Town and 0.5-miles (800 meters) from Twin Lagoon. The only way to get there is by boat, whether you opt for a private charter or a shared island-hopping adventure.

Many island-hopping boats stop at Banul Beach for lunch, because it has beach shacks where travelers can eat. As a result, it can feel quite crowded around this time. If possible, visit before 11am to enjoy the beach’s tranquil environment, and break for lunch elsewhere.

Banul Beach is beautiful, but it’s a short, slender strip of sand and, unless you’ve rented a kayak, it’s hard to find your way anywhere else. Allow up to an hour if you’re eating lunch or 30 minutes if you just want to soak up the sun and snap some pictures.
