See the the baobab tree, try nuts & baobab juice, rest on a swing and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Next stop: Curral Velho. This village was abandoned in the 19th century after continues pirate attacks. Next stop: salt lake. (Free salt souvenir) Next stop: morro negro lighthouse (163). Here we´ll do the local liquor tasting. Try local spirits: Grogue & Pontche. Next stop: the colorfull town of Fundo das Figueiras to have lunch in the banana plant garden. We'll visit the "Centro de Interpretação Ambiental", this is a museum that focusses on the conservation of sea turtles and wildlife. If that is not really your thing, then you can explore the townn instead. We cross the whole of Boa Vista Island on the famous cobblestone road created by the farmers of the north, to reach the Ervatao nature reserve, an ideal place for the Carreta Carreta turtles to lay their eggs, which normally takes place from June to October. A beautiful beach and a gigantic and secular baobab. We then continue to the Morro Nero lighthouse and the typical colorful and flowery villages, where time seems to have stopped.
