Wonderful experience
It was wonderful experience of this 2 day tour.Najerke was great host and our guide. She made us feel comfortable at each and every moment of tour.Food was good.Intermittent breaks during bus journey were adequate enough to make your journey easy. There is adequate water arrangements on bus ( so need to get panic).Green valley yurt stay was excellent(karaoke night and bon-fire makes whole group like small family).Would recommend the tour to my friends…enjoy

Long day (5a-9:30p), but well worth it. They make the long drives as easy as possible, with frequent enough stops. The views are gorgeous, and well worth the small hikes involved to some of the destinations. Nurzhan (our guide) was particularly great in keeping the group on time and organized throughout the day.

Great day out of Almaty!
We had an absolutely incredible day exploring Charyn Canyon, Kolsay, and Kaiyndy with Ayan. From the moment he picked us up, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He shared lots of interesting local knowledge and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout the entire trip.
If you're looking for a private tour in Almaty, I cannot recommend this tour and Ayan highly enough—he truly made the experience unforgettable!

Meeting is at 04:30 but bus doesn’t really leave until 05:00+, then gas station stop, so 05:30 by the time you really get going. The bus isn’t that comfortable.
Besides this, probably one of the better day trips I’ve done. Super busy, fun, I met a lot of people, cool spots, the horse riding was really good, too. The old bus ride up to the lake was cool, in general it’s quite a well thought out day trip, Luba was lovely and knowledgeable.

Interesting Petroglyphs visit
Interesting visit to the Petroglyphs. About a 3 hour drive each way, and once there, a short museum visit and a hike around the petroglyph sites. Some parts required climbing, others could be seen from the paths. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind, stopping as much as we needed for snacks/lunch/bathroom breaks.

Highly Recommended Outdoors Activity
This is a solid one-day activity to experience the Kazakh outdoors. We went to 5 sites, including a ride on an old Soviet bus and a pony, with a delicious lunch at a local home. If you have more time, stretching it to a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a yurt would probably be better but if you only have a day to spare, do this. We had a pleasant guide, Naz, and driver and they managed a packed day without us feeling too rushed.

Amazing Almaty
We were very fortunate to have Erasyl as our private guide in Almaty. From early morning pickup to our return to the hotel, he took excellent care of us with his professional approach and advanced English. Erasyl impressed us with his deep knowledge of Kazakhstan's history, science, business, culture, and even politics. He shared fascinating information throughout our journey while always being respectful and mindful of cultural boundaries during our conversations.
Erasyl went above and beyond during our visits to Lake Kaindy and Lake Kolsay. When I struggled with walking in these areas, he provided helpful assistance that made me feel comfortable and supported. His hard work, helpful nature, and genuine care made our experience truly special. Erasyl is a wonderful ambassador for his beautiful country Kazakhstan, and we hope he continues to share his knowledge and passion with more visitors in the future.

Perfect trip to Almaty Lake
Had an amazing day! Pick-up was very smooth and on time. The driving was safe and the guide was very nice. Almaty Lake is absolutely beautiful! A must visit when in the area. The guide also brought some tea and sweets and a drone to capture footage of the lake. All in all a very good trip!

Its a 30-40 min hike on a rough trail to the waterfall, which isnt very big. No real need to see this.
The lake is very pretty, its a 20 min walk on a paved road from the parking.
Its maybe 1.5 hour for the waterfall and an hour at the lake. For this you leave in the morning at 9ish and get back evening at 6ish.
The guide Serzhan was very nice.

Amazing and challenging hike
The Almaty hiking tour was amazing, and Ote is an incredible guide. He does a great job catering the tour to your interest and ability level. The hike itself was challenging and very rewarding. Although we didn’t make it to the alpine lake, we enjoyed the views along the way. Weather in the Almaty mountains can be a bit unpredictable, so be prepared for rainstorms/hailstorms. Ote was incredibly supportive and ensured that we got down the mountain safely despite the inclement weather. This tour is a great way to see some of Almaty’s natural beauty, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Unforgettable day in Altyn-Emel — Aktau Mountains & the Singing Dune
I had an incredible day trip to Altyn-Emel that ran like clockwork from the 5:30 a.m. hotel pickup to our return in the evening. Our guide, Bek, was outstanding—friendly, encouraging, and amazingly attentive. He learned everyone’s name within minutes, explained the plan clearly, and kept our group motivated through the heat (around 100°F). After a smooth drive from Almaty, we switched to 4x4s and hiked a dry riverbed into the Aktau (Chalk) Mountains. The layered colors were surreal, and when the climb got steep, Bek’s encouragement helped me push to a fantastic viewpoint.
We made a quick stop at the volcanic Katutau formations, then enjoyed a delicious family-style lunch at a local guesthouse—plenty of cold water, which was very welcome. The highlight was the Singing Dune: with Bek’s guidance, our group slid in unison and the dune let out a deep, organ-like hum you could hear and feel. It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced.
Transportation was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the whole day felt safe and well organized. Pro tips: bring 2–3 liters of water, sunscreen, a hat that clips on (it’s windy), sturdy shoes, and be ready for squat toilets in places. I highly recommend this tour—and especially Bek—for anyone looking to see the best of Altyn-Emel in one day.
