Fantastic class and instructor! There were 5 of us in the class. Everything went smoothly. We learned so much about native and regional fruits, vegetables, and cheeses while we were at the market. And we learned about other ingredients and pisco while we cooked.

    Best experience in Peru!

    BEATRIZ_Q, Feb 2026
This was hands down the best experience we had in Cusco, and that’s all thanks to the chef Ronald. From the moment we met him, Ronald was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He first took us through the Cusco public market and then to a local outdoor market where he personally shops for fresh vegetables. He explained everything in detail and made us feel like we were experiencing the real Cusco, not just the tourist version. What truly stood out was how generous he was. Even though it wasn’t included in the tour, Yohon bought us local sweet bread and different vegetables to try, simply because he wanted us to experience authentic flavors. He didn’t expect anything in return, he just genuinely cared about giving us a great experience. During the class, he was funny, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. He walked us step by step through preparing the meals and shared cultural insights along the way. At the end, he even gave us a full list of receipts and told us to email him anytime if we had questions about recreating the dishes at home. We would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Cusco. This was the highlight of our trip and easily the best excursion we did.

    Superb experience!

We booked this class on NYE and the experience was amazing. The market tour was full of life and Ronald took time to show us around all of it! We leaned much about Peruvian culture and food. The cooking class is quite fun. It’s very easy to follow the instructions. The amenities were clean portions were healthy. We left full, happy and more educated about Peruvian food! We would highly recommend this adventure.

    Wonderful culinary experience

This tour was expertly held by Ronald, who took such good care of my son when he was feeling the altitude sickness during the market tour. He immediately got coco leaves, chocolate and a helpful smelling liquid called Florida water. Full recovery!! We then went to the workshop and made the most lovely meal. Ronald explained all the foods, traditions, and cooking techniques. Delicious fruits and cheeses for appetizers and then ceviche and stuffed peppers for dinner. We also made pisco sours and passion fruit drinks. So much attention to detail and history of Peruvian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience to expore the local market and learn about Peruvian cooking

    Mark_M, Jul 2025
This was a great way to explore the public market and the various exotic foods that were sold there, followed by an introduction to peruvian cooking either a lomo saltado or trout ceviche, pisco sour, and stuffed peppers. Our chef was Ronaa, our food turned out great and he did great at explaining everything. We learned a lot and definitely recommend!

Best meal I had while visiting Peru

    Dayna_C, Apr 2025
The experience takes the entire 4 hours and is definitely worth it. Ronal is a gifted chef who brought the Peruvian traditions and food to life. Hands on cooking is the way to go!

The best introduction to Peruvian food snd the San Pedro Market

    Rosemary_L, Apr 2025
Ronal was an exceptional chef and guide. The tour through the San Pedro Market was fascinating. It is an intimidating place and I was comfortable navigating it after class. He walked my classmate and I through the preparation of an appetizer (causa), ceviche, lomo saltada, and a pisco sour for me. Take this educational and fun course.

    Captivating Cooking in Cuscos

    Andrea_K, Feb 2025
Great experience! Our host was a wonderful guide and teacher! We had a choice of two entries, two side dishes and two cocktails from which to choose. The Pisco Sour was the best we had ever had! Our host took us to the market and bought what he needed including some fruit, bread and cheese for tasting. When it was time to go, he even helped us secure a taxi! Wonderful, fun and hands on, tasty experience! He also sent us the recipes!

    Not only was the class...

    Jennifer_W, Dec 2024
Not only was the class fun, but the recipes are a great way to share your Peruvian experience with friends back home. The market tour was fascinating. We learned about all the different kinds of meat and cheeses as well as some of the unique items you can buy that may not be available back home.

    Great experience and great food!

    Marc_R, Dec 2024
I had a great experience, it just so happened I was the only one that registered for the morning class so it was like a private lesson! Ronal and I went to the market and he showed me all the different meats, cheeses, breads and fruits in Peru and we bought some for the class. Ronal was very good at teaching me how to male pisco sour, cook Lomo Soltado and Causa Limeña! I will definitely be cooking some at home. Highly recommend, thanks!

    A Must-Do Experience in Cusco!

    Luis_M, Nov 2024
If you’re visiting Cusco and want to immerse yourself in Peruvian culture, Ronal’s cooking class is an absolute must! My partner and I had the most incredible time with Ronal—a warm, knowledgeable, and passionate teacher who made this experience unforgettable. The adventure began at the famous local market, where Ronal guided us through a vibrant maze of fresh produce, bread, and traditional ingredients. He explained everything in detail—the origins, cultural significance, and how they’re used in Peruvian cuisine. We even got to taste some exotic fruits and pick up a few items for our cooking session. It was an eye-opening and fun way to connect with the local culture! Back at the studio, we were lucky to have a private class that day. It felt so personalized and hands-on. Ronal guided us through every step of preparing our meal, from chopping fresh ingredients to mixing drinks, sautéing, and putting the finishing touches on our dishes. The food we cooked was beyond incredible—easily one of the best meals we had in Peru—and we felt so accomplished knowing we made it ourselves under Ronal’s expert instruction. This class is so much more than just cooking; it’s an immersive experience that ties together culture, food, and learning in the best way possible. If you’re heading to Cusco, do yourself a favor and book this class. It will be a highlight of your trip—we’re already dreaming of recreating these dishes at home! Gracias, Ronal, for an unforgettable day! 🌟

    Great experience

    Highlight of our trip!

    Christine_H, Oct 2024
What an amazing experience that was both fun and educational! I really felt by the end of the class I knew more about Peru, its people, and how they eat on a regular basis. Ronal is an exceptional chef and crafted great recipes for us to try, either ceviche or lomo saltado. The bonus dish was stuffed Peruvian peppers and of course the pisco sour. Ronal took care for each step, chopping properly, tasting, and giving an honest opinion about alpaca and guinea pig. I felt he was authentic, never catering to touristy ideas in an informative way. The market was also amazing! I’m not sure our group would have felt comfortable doing this on our own. Final knew many of the vendors and showed us many potatoes, peppers, corn, fruit, and even beer! A fascinating look at Peruvian way of life. Choose this cooking class! You will not be disappointed!

    Wonderful hands on cooking experience

    Gabriela_M, Oct 2024
I had an absolutely wonderful experience! First Ronal took us to the market where we picked up some of our ingredients of the evening as well as learned more about local customs. The cooking experience was very hands on and a lot of fun. The company was great too. I attended this as activity as my first night of elevation acclimation and I would recommend this class to everyone visiting Cusco.

Must do: shop locally and cook!

    Suzanne_G, Oct 2024
Ronal is an amazing Chef! We had 3 couples in our group and he accommodated all our different food preferences. First, we walked to San Pedro market and he explained all the different aisles. Upon returning we prepped for our meals: ceviche or loma Salgado and our pisco sours or juice drinks for the nonalcoholic choice. Also, made stuffed peppers! We never felt rushed and even the non cook (my husband) had a great time! A must do!

    Amazing!

Ronal was very thorough Chef, teaching us how to make two amazing peruvian dishes! I loved the ceviche we made it was the best I have ever had! I would highly recommend this class to anyone who enjoys cooking or eating food. Haha. It was a 10 out 10 for me and my friend! Thank you again Ronal for sending the recipes. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to explore the markets and cook with Ronal. Ronal was very helpful as we explored the markets and assisted in purchases of souvenirs and such. We were able to talk about the history of the city and how daily life is for locals as we prepared the food. This experience was one of the highlights of my time in Cusco!

    Amazing experienced

    Dulce_B, Sept 2024
My experience was extraordinary, and the culinary delights were superb. The class was insightful, and the market prices were extremely reasonable. I erred in not taking a taxi and instead opted to walk, resulting in shortness of breath during the market tour.

    Food and Presentation Fantastic!!!

    Colleen_S, Sept 2024
Absolutely great experience! The market trip was interesting and getting to taste some of the classic Peruvian breads and cheese was fantastic. All the food was delicious. Highly recommend taking the time to take the class!
