Beautiful scenery & a lovely perspective of the island. The horses were healthy, happy & very well behaved. The guide was kind but would’ve been more appreciative if he had spoken some English to make it more informational. Also, we felt as if the guide was rushed because he was consistently quite far ahead of us. But overall, the beauty of the sea, terrain and incredible experience should be on your “to do” list!

Tour guide spoke no English so we were unable to learn anything about the terrain or the horses!! So quiet ride and pretty boring bc you didn’t have any interaction with the guide.

I went on the advanced ride. It was booked as a private tour but I was added into a group of 3 as they were down a tour guide. It wasn't a big deal and I actually ended up with a group from my hometown. I wouldn't necessarily say this ride was advanced. There was some rocky terrain and chances to trot and canter but we remained in a single file line so the horses went on autopilot. I also was expecting a beach ride but, while we were next to water, we didn't ride on the beach or near the water. We did pose for a couple of pictures by the water. I do wish there were more opportunities to video and take pictures while actually riding. The pick up and drop off was easy and the tour guides were very nice. I would recommend this tour if you are a beginner or slightly intermediate but not necessarily for advanced who want more opportunities to ride fast on your own.

We booked the advanced ride and when we showed up, the staff informed us that they had changed another group’s time to accommodate a young child, so they could no longer do our advanced ride, and we would need to do a beginner ride. We specifically paid more to do an advanced ride and were given no notification of the change ahead of time. On top of trying to give us something different than we paid for, the property was also an animal rights nightmare. The horses looked miserable and neglected, and my cousin and I almost started crying looking at the situation. They had no water, it was scorching outside, they were emaciated and clearly agitated (I ride horses back in the states, and am quite familiar with what a ranch property and healthy horses should look like). We spent about 10 minutes here, and decided the best option was for us to go back to our hotel. The staff told us to request a refund through Viator, which we’ve done and are currently waiting on, but we would absolutely recommend staying away from this booking based on the experience we had and what we saw at the ranch.

We are sorry to hear your opinión. If you have looked in the stables the horses have AUTOMATIC waterers . Any moment they need water it is available to them. They get showered after every ride get Apples and carrots, You know because you gave them from the bar where we offer them. And they get feed importen all the way from the Netherlands.All riders were booked for advanced. Since it was a group ride you never know who or what to expect. We always advise to book a PRIVATE ride to be sure you get what you want. You decided you did not want to join. That was not our decisión. Aruba temperature is always the same year round.

Highlight of our trip! My 14 year old daughter is an experienced rider and I managed to keep up! I would say this is a perfect experience for an intermediate rider! Scenery was amazing and guide took great pictures to remember an amazing day

The horses and guide were wonderful. The ride was not advanced as advertised because guests lie about their abilities, which slows the r8de down. My talented Paso Fino mare Bonnie was able to do the very fast gait that this breed is known for, which was a huge treat. Scenery was gorgeous!

Nelson was our tour leader and was an excellent guide. The tour starts off at the ranch and rides to the beach. Where you get to take awesome pictures with you and the horses. We did some prancing, walking, and galloping on the horses- not just walking. I Throughly enjoyed this tour

Pick up was right on time, the tour itself was outstanding. The horses trotted part of the tour which made it terrific. We road down to the shore and had a wonderful time. Can not say enough about the tour. Guide spoke spanish, which is what we asked for and was great. Finally we asked to be dropped at the beach, which was a hit as well.

This trip was not what was advertised at all! I purposely chose it because it was supposed to be for advanced riders, and we were supposed to trot canter, and gallop. The reviews that I read from other people were great, and it sounded like people really got to do those things on the ride. Our ride consisted of only five people, my daughter, and myself, and a family of three. The family of three had not ridden ton, but had definitely ridden before. Halfway through the ride when we hadn’t done anything but walk with the horses yet I asked the guide if we were going to run with them and he told me we would when we got to the beach. But we went to the beach and left and still did not trot or Cantor. I asked him about it again, and he basically told me we were not going to run with the horses! Something about the family of three not being able to keep up. I kept pushing and told him that we paid for an advanced ride. He did not speak much English, and could not really understand what I meant I don’t think. Finally after asking nicely multiple times he finally had us trot and canter with the horses a few times the last 20 minutes or so which was fun. But again, I paid for an advanced ride and chose this company because it was supposed to be a ride with more than walking. And the only reason we ran with the horses at all is because I kept bugging the guide. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this company.

Only Private Tours can guarantee galloping/cantering as the guide caters the ride to your group's experience level ONLY. Small Group Rides are catered to the level of the least experienced rider on a public tour. Happy trails!

Nothing memorable about this excursion. One big ripoff. Never got picked up. Bus came a wrong time. And then refused to reimburse me or work out some other arrangement. I will tell everyone to never do business with you.

The people working there were very nice but i wouldn’t consider it a ride for advanced riders. While we did trot & canter a few times, we walked the majority of the ride. We were nose to tail for the most part. And although it is advertised as riding on the beach, we never touched sand :(

We had a lot of fun on this ride. Suzanne was our guide; she was both friendly and knowledgeable. We had fun riding the horses through the desert, taking pics by the ocean and loved being able to cantor and gallop. My husband and I really enjoyed this and would recommend it.

The horses were beautiful and looked healthy and the route was breathtaking. The guide, Max, was personable. However, I specifically booked an advanced riding experience and was grouped with two girls who had never ridden before. The ride was basically geared toward them, no trotting or galloping because the girls couldn't keep up. Max spent more time looking at his cell phone than engaging with us. It was supposed to be a two hour ride and was an hour and a half. I enjoyed the time I had on the horse but it wasn't what I signed up for or expected.

When signing up on a group ride there is always a possibility other level riders may join the ride. We suggest next time sign up for a private ride. Than you do not depend on others :)

I LOVED this experience!!! Chose it because my sister and I didn’t want to only walk slowly on horses. WE don’t ride often, pretty much only on trips but are comfortable with varying speeds, though we don’t have lots of experience or general knowledge Max, our guide, was really kind and made sure we had a great experience. The horses were lovely and well cared for. Max let us trot, canter, and gallop and gave instructions throughout when needed. The beach was STUNNING and exactly what I had hoped for. Would have done this everyday of my vacation if I could have.
Recommendation-long pants and if you bring a water bottle, make it a smaller one so it fits into the bag on the saddle. Sunglasses and a phone for pictures is all you really need.

My family and boyfriend and I did the advanced tour in order to actually ride. I grew up riding horses and didn't want to walk nose-to-tail. This tour was really great for this. We had 3 other people with us so it wasn't too big of a group and we did lots of trotting and cantering throughout the Aruban desert and beach. Our guide, Max, was very nice and thoughtful. Although he was a little late to start us off he made sure we were prepared and had horses that fit our abilities (I rode Victoria and she was amazing!!). The ranch was in great condition and the horses were clearly well loved and taken care of; as well as the cute dogs! Overall, I highly recommend this tour to everyone who has riding experience!

Nestor and Pilo picked me up across from the cruise port ON TIME! Both were very pleasant and friendly. We picked up other guests who were doing a one hour ride and arrived at the ranch in plenty of time. Nestor said he usually takes the advanced riders out but he had to take the bigger group out so Pilo rode with me. I rode Vicki, aka “ Victoria Secret “. She was very well behaved and LOVED going fast which is what I really wanted. Pilo did an excellent job showing me around the island and giving me plenty of opportunities to gallop. I highly recommend this tour….you won’t be disappointed. Thanks so much Nestor and Pilo. I will definitely come back to visit next time I’m in Aruba.?

Whatever you do, don't leave Aruba without experiencing this incredible horseback ride offered through Rancho Notorious. Nestor, our guide, was AMAZING....and it was something my daughter and I will definitely remember for the rest of our lives. He was so helpful and kind, and he even sang for us as we rode, after we learned he had a wonderful voice! My family tries to ride in every location we travel to....but this trip, by far, was our very favorite. The scenery along the way was breathtaking, and Nestor let us dismount several times to take in the surroundings. The horses were loved and well cared for, and the two hours flew by so quickly. Don't even hesitate....book this experience immediately. You will not regret it!
