What are people saying about York

A must!
We went on a 6pm tour, was great time as was just getting dark. Meeting point was easy to find and mad Alice was easy to spot! Our guide (Kate) was brilliant, so entertaining and interesting, she has a big group to look after and did it with ease. Would highly recommend this tour (we went October and defo should have wrapped up more!)

Completely entertaining
This was the first ghost tour I’ve been on and it has set my expectations of others at a high level. Dalton was extremely entertaining and funny. Even the rain didn’t put a damper on this tour (pun intended). It was easy to find the starting point too.

Beauty on the Moors
We had a wonderful day out with Ben as our driver and guide. He was very informative, funny and enjoyable. The moors are stunning, a stop at a local market town was fun and useful (to me, anyway) and Whitby was very enjoyable with some delicious fish and chips. The 8 year old in our group had a great time.
And we’re looking forward to the publication of Ben’s dad’s book!

A hilarious tour.
Honestly the best thing we’ve done on our holiday. My cheeks haven’t recovered yet from laughing and my son had a blast. The host was welcoming, and very witty. We saw some really cool parts of York. Would 100% recommend for anyone with young children, or indeed a love for puns.

Yorkshire Dales and More
A full day of amazing views of the Yorkshire Dales and quaint villages. Trevor, our guide was exceptional and a wealth of information. We stopped at a castle in time to see a bird of prey demonstration in addition to seeing the inside of the castle. Included were stops at sites where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed.those were just a few highlights of this amazing tour!

Take this tour!
Dave is an amazing guide. Funny, kind, witty, and, most importantly, a walking encyclopedia of information about a fascinating city. If possible he will cheerfully spend extra time at locations that you have a special interest in. Absolutely recommend his tour!

Great ghost tour - not...
Great ghost tour - not gimmicky and learned a lot of history about York. Tour guide Mackenize was very good - she really knew her stuff. I aprpeciated all the research she has done for the stories that she tells. Highly recommend for a fun night out with friends!

So much fun and slightly creepy!
This is a fun, informative, and slightly creepy walk through the main areas and alleyways of York. Lou was an amazing storyteller, never stumbling over words or getting lost in the tale. One of the longer ghost tours in town and well worth the money! We even scored a cute crocheted ghostie as a souvenir! Highly recommended for all ages and abilities!

Do it!
Excellent!
You'll discover York away from the beaten tracks, but you'll also see and learn a lot about the most famous places and buildings.
Ben guided us brilliantly through this little journey of history and food, and he knows a lot!
We were allowed to take our well-behaved dog with us, but of course we asked him before and he was so kind to make little changes for us.
The food and drinks were delicious, the staff everywhere full of knowledge and very lovely.
This was by far the best experience we've ever had and we can't thank Ben enough!
Greetings from Germany!

Great event and something worth doing!
What a great day out and amazing activity. We learnt a lot about chocolate. The guy running the course was really informative and supportive especially as we had young children with us.
Highly recommend this to anyone to do! The end chocolate bars were amazing!

Cornelius The Brave
This was a most enjoyable and informative walk.
Our "Witch"guide, Cornelius, made the whole event very interesting with his vast knowledge of not only York's history, especially in its past witchcraft activities, but also of other parts of the country.
Very much worth noting, also, was Cornelius's very entertaining and at times humorous delivery of tales and facts.
Unfortunately the last third of our walk was seriously interrupted by an enormous rainstorm complete with thunder and lightning and soaking everyone
Our witch, however, battled bravely on, keeping us all entertained and interested to the bitter end. Bravo, Cornelius!!
