Amazing Trip 10/10
The tour was very worth it. It started off with a little teeny misunderstanding where the driver hadn’t contacted me before the pickup so I texted the company asking to confirm. Literally 2 minutes later the driver was in front of me and I texted the company “I found him, never mind!” Hopefully this means the company doesn’t get upset with him because he was an outstanding guy. Maybe it would help to supply him with the tourist’s number so he can text them when he arrives.
His name was Sunnat and he is still learning English, so most of our conversation was done via Google Translate. He piped up with facts here and there and really made the two hour journey easy. Also, for the first time in my life I found myself falling asleep in a stranger’s car. That’s how safe and comfortable he made it feel.
Also “through mountain pass” sounds so much more scarier than it is. The roads are so safe and wide that you hardly realise you’re high up until your ears pop.
Firuza is fantastic. She meets you right at the entrance and is sweet, kind, polite and full of information. She’s a teacher at her own centre so she’s a very capable entrepreneur. She took me through the complex at my own pace and kept us in shaded areas where she could. When I couldn’t walk anymore in the August heat she was kind enough to rent one of the motor carts (which she paid for!)
With Firuza were two of her students (16 year olds) who were there to learn about their own history and practice their English. I wish these girls the best because they were super awesome and sweet. They’re definitely going to go far. They also took pics of me/us and we swapped instas so that they could send them to me.
Main stops other than the ancient landmarks were a souvenir shop where Firuza negotiated a good price for me and an artist’s shop. The artist was an inspiring passionate dude who genuinely had magnificent works. There was no expectations to buy anything, just to have conversation with him and admire his works. His painting and architecture works gave me perspective of Uzbekistan’s past and present.
We ended our tour at an ice cream shop with the coldest ice cream and Fanta ever (the sun was killing me) and again, Firuza refused to let me pay.
I said my goodbyes and joined Sunnat in his air conditioned car for the ride back to my hotel.
I’m also glad the tour was so early because as we were leaving loads more tourists and locals were entering, so I really appreciated the opportunity the admire the area and take pics without crowds.
Highly recommend going to Shakhrisabz and highly recommend going with Firuza.

Highly recommend 7 lakes tour!
A wonderful lasting impression of Tajikistan by a wonderful guide, Dodo and driver, Fairou.
They both made me feel comfortable and welcome in their country. Fairou is a very safe driver in Tajikistan and Dodo is wonderful, professional, and courteous tour guide.
I had the best time and saw the spectacular and beautiful 7 lakes of Tajikistan!
Thanks Dodo from Nastasya!

10/10 Tour!
Our guide in Samarkand was Amin and he was amazing! His English was excellent and he knew a lot about the history of Uzbekistan. He showed us so many hidden gems we would have never found ourselves. The tour was so interesting and fun, time flew by. Amin was beyond our expectations. Very nice!

Wonderful day.
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Dilshod picked us up on our hotel well on time and he even message us before he turn up at the hotel which is very good of him. Then he drive us to the border for the immigration formalities. We encounter a small problem due to having Filipino passport and the immigration officer on Tajik side wont let my friend pass. Good thing we have the number of Mr Murad and called him, and he talked to the immigration officer and he said that we are genuine tourist and he always bring tourist from different countries everyday to Tajikistan for the 7 lakes tour.
After some conversation the immigration officer let my friend go.
On the Tajik side miss Dilo is patiently waiting for us and the rest of our group.
We started the tour going to Panjakent bazaar and then proceed to the 7 lakes.
Which is very beautiful and breath of fresh air from all the elaborates and intricate architecture of Samarkand.
All in all we had a fantastic time and this tour is highly recommended.
The organiser, the guide and mr Ali the driver look after us very well indeed.
After the tour they took us back to the border and Dilshod is there waiting for us and took us back to the hotel.
Thank you so much to all for the wonderful day.

Outstanding Tour of Tajikistan with an Exceptional Guide
I had an excellent tour of Tajikistan with an excellent guide. The guide, a young lady whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, was a tremendous ambassador for her country. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience truly memorable.
We visited all the main highlights on the tour, and the views were breathtaking throughout. From beginning to end, I had an excellent experience and would like to give the final word of praise to the guide, who was outstanding and a remarkable representative of her country.

Excellent tour, perfect to discover the beauty of Samarkand
Excellent city tour, very smooth and showing all the beauty of Samarkand. Our guide Samandar was excellent: great English and very knowledgeable about the city, country and monuments history. He has the right level of details and adapt to your pace. The full tour (if you chose to go through all 5 monuments / places) lasts about 6hrs, depending on how long you stay…and while entry tickets are additional as you wish to step inside each, every single one truly deserves it.

Best cultural tour in Samarkand
Olimjon was a first class guide. He speaks perfect English and planned the tour to perfection. It was well paced even though we visited many of the cultural sights in Samarkand. Olimjon has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Samarkand and quirky legends of the city too. He took the best pictures for us too and knows the best spots to take them. Highly recommended, 100%! Rakhmat, Olimjon!

Excellent tour
Two of us spent 6+ hour with Elyor to explore 4 places in Samarkand old town. Elyor is very patient waiting for us with 10 minutes late. He answered all our questions: history and current events, traditions and modern challenges, religions and political rules. Highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful day in Samarkand
Today I explored a lot of very interesting historical places in Samarkand via the Samarkand City Tour and I had a wonderful day thanks to my guide. With her deep knowledge about the places we visited and also knowledge about the history of the area in general with religion, culture, cuisine etc. she gave the tour life so to speak. I learnt a lot about the visited historical places, life in Samarkand, the life in Uzbekistan and the countries in the area, both during the historical centuries but also about today’s life in Samarkand, and the historical ties to ancient times. She gave me the whole picture of the area. Very well done!
