The rays and sharks are friendly!
An amazing experience to snorkel in warm, shallow water with rays and occasional sharks. Rays seem to like humans and are slickly pettable. Lunch on the island is fun, especially watching the coconut husking and food prep. In general though, these excursion boats are not designed for anyone not fit enough to climb into or off the boat. You do not swim from a beach. And you should be able to swim; no life jackets available.

Rony is Awesome!
Rony was an amazing tour guide! Very friendly and so so knowledgeable. The vehicle we toured in fit 8 (although a little snug) and was clean and air conditioned. Water was offered and he was fun to hang out with for the day. Highly recommend the tour!!

Island tour
We drove around the entire island. Having a guide/driver meant we could look at scenery without having to worry about traffic. Rony was our guide and he was very informative about the history and culture of the island. I was worried that the time at each stop might not be enough but mostly, it was just right.

Snorkeling on Taboo
Really good time and great snorkeling! Anna and Captain were a pleasure to spend the morning with and weather was good. Saw lots of Black tip Sharks and Stingrays. Very easy snorkeling as two of three locations were shallow enough for inexperienced snorkelers. Thank you Taboo!!!!

Whale Swimming - incredible experience
Wow - what an incredible experience we had. In short, it was so incredible, we booked to go again! Communication with the whole team was great from the moment we booked.
We booked this tour with Teiki and his captain for the end of September. We were picked up and dropped off from the Hilton dock, so we only had to walk 50 metres from our hotel room - very easy.
Only ten minutes after collecting the other guests from Papeete town we were jumping into the sea and swimming towards a male humpback. The singing of the whale was such an emotional experience - the power and vibration shook your body.
The whale then ascended up to the surface passing close by us before proceeding onwards. We had an excellent view. Teiki then took us to a coral reef and to eagle ray rock, where we saw a large group of eagle rays.
It was so good, we booked to do it again a week later!
The second time, it was like an investigation. We spent some time scouting for a whale, where we had seen two surface fairly close to us but unfortunately, as we were the fourth boat, we couldn’t stay or swim. Time was running out and we were happy that we had at least seen two whales. Teiki then saw a whale in the distance with two boats, meaning we could get in and snorkel. We joined the other boats and saw their tour leaders bring their groups into the sea and swim into the distance quite far away. As I grabbed my mask, Teiki said to stay on the boat and wait, as he felt the others were going the wrong way and that the whale would surface nearer to us. Once again, his experience showed itself, as a mere few metres away, the whale surfaced. Once it had settled back under, we hopped off and snorkelled toward it ensuring we kept a safe distance. It then surfaced again, but ascending extremely close to us giving an incredible view better than our wildest dreams. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Thanks again!

A delicious journey through Moorea’s food history and culture!
What a wonderful way to experience the beautiful island of Moorea! This food tour was so much more than simply sampling traditional Polynesian cuisine — it was a fascinating journey into the island’s rich history, culture and way of life.
Our guide, H, a proud local, was an absolute wealth of knowledge, sharing captivating stories about Moorea’s history, Polynesian traditions and the important role food plays in everyday island life. His genuine passion for his homeland was evident throughout the tour, making the experience both educational and thoroughly entertaining.
Each tasting offered a delicious insight into the flavours and culinary heritage of the islands.
A fantastic tour that nourished both the body and the mind! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover the real Moorea beyond its breathtaking scenery.

History and botanical information
Very informative tour about Tahitian history, government, and flora. A lot of information in 4 and half hours. Also we got to try delicious homemade bread! Our guide Pauline (sorry might misspell the name) was very knowledgeable and nice. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Swimming with the whales
Unreal experience swimming with the whales, highly recommend if you get the chance! We got to swim with 3 whales for an hour or so that were pretty close to us. Our captain Nicola and guide Henua were awesome. Very mindful of respecting the whales space while making sure we had a great experience. They had a little floatation ring to help anyone who isn’t a super strong swimmer or was getting tired while swimming. Got us a taxi on the way back that way we didn’t have to ride back on the boat in the wind or rain which was much appreciated! Will definitely never forget this experience :)

Better than cruise ship tour!!!
Excellent tour that we travelled around the whole islands in 5 hrs and made many great stops. Highly recommend our tour guide, Vetea. He is very informative and friendly. This is small group of 6. Better than the cruise ship tour with Big bus. In fact, I am the only one not from cruise ship.

Highly recommend!!!
We had an amazing day with Captain Vai and our tour guide Louis!! We did a private half day charter and loved every minute of it! We swam with sharks, stingrays, and turtles, and Louis guided us on one of the best snorkel experiences of our lives, where we found many unique shells and experienced some incredible reefs.

See the little seen side of the island!
The trip was fantastic - we saw a part of the island that it seems is much less traveled. Based on what I saw there was maybe 100 people a day that take this trip. Vaitea was an excellent host - friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating- we had a mixed group - my family spoke mainly English, another spoke mainly French, and a couple with the husband speaking mainly English but the wife fluent in both French and English. Vaitea was able to accommodate all of us seamlessly and had great energy! I would certainly recommend having the top off of the truck so you have the full panoramic view. Loved seeing the eels which proved to my family they exist after a visit to Source de Vaima the day prior where we didn’t see any!

Fantastic!
After this tour was done, my family and I were talking at dinner saying this was one of the BEST tours we have ever booked. From the welcoming guides, to the glass bottom boat and the fantastic lunch, the tour was so well done and planned out. We were able to see lots of turtles, sharks and rays (that we were able to pet)! Lunch was fantastic and the beauty surrounding you on Moorea is unmatched. I HIGHLY recommend this tour! You won’t be disappointed!
