What are people saying about Oaxaca

Insight into Oaxaca daily life through food
Exploring the markets with Brian was an unforgettable experience. He is incredibly informative and deeply knowledgeable about the local culture. Instead of just guiding us, Brian introduced us to local vendors and made us feel like a true part of the community. The market was a sensory explosion of delicious food and fresh raw ingredients. The absolute best part was shopping for our own items and getting to make our own tacos together—it was incredibly fun and hands-on. If you want an authentic taste of Oaxaca, definitely book with Brian!

Highly recommend
It was an amazing experience from pickup to drop-off. As two women traveling alone, my mother and I felt completely safe the entire time. Willy and Carlos were incredible tour guides who treated us like family from the moment we met them. If you’re looking to experience Mexico’s countryside in the most authentic way possible, I highly recommend this tour. These two gentlemen went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Not once did we feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or anything less than welcomed. Thank you, Willy and Carlos, for your kindness, professionalism, and hospitality. You truly made this trip special. 🇲🇽❤️

Great day trip
This was an excellent trip. Our guide Liz and driver Miguel were very helpful and friendly, everything ran on time and as per the description. The group was small, only about 12 people, which was perfect for this kind of activity. We really enjoyed hierve el agua and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was there - there were people but it was in no way crowded. The hike was short but interesting with a friendly local guide. The other activities were interesting and the mezcal tasting was a fun way to round off the day.

So much fun!
This was an amazing marathon tour. We covered so much in one day and we traveled in a very comfortable tour van with a fun international group of fellow tourists. Our guide Estefania was great at breaking the ice and creating a relaxed mood for the long day and was very patient with our questions and in explaining things. We found the Tule tree and Hierve el Agua particularly special experiences and would just recommend cleared instructions for the hike without a lox tour at Hierve el Agua. It is recommended to bring a towel and bathing suit for this experience as well as a comfortable walking shoes and snacks. We did have opportunities to buy street food along the way but the lunch stop was at 4pm, so we were grateful to have things to munch on in the car. The Mezcal tour and tasting was extremely informative and a great final bonding experience with the whole group. Also a great opportunity to buy gifts. Overall, amazing and absolutely worthwhile.

Many travelers agree that if you only have time to visit one place in Mexico, it should be Oaxaca. The state has some of the country’s most iconic food—from its seven types of mole to flaky tlayudas (stuffed tortillas)—plus inspiring natural beauty and colorful architecture. Oaxaca tours let you explore like an expert, whether tasting street food in Oaxaca City or discovering the Monte Albán ruins. You can also learn to make mezcal on a plantation, marvel at a petrified waterfall, or head to the coast for surfing lessons.
