Super Cool Experience with Shuun
Shuun showed my wife an amazing time and the 2 hours flew by. She is so knowledgeable about not only the nighlife in Tokyo but also the culture. We would highly recommend this tour but even more so if Shuun is your guide. 5 stars all around! Thank you Shuun for showing us a great time!

Book This One!
This sake tour was an absolute highlight of our trip. From start to finish, our tour guide Jimmy was warm, personable, and genuinely enthusiastic. He made us feel welcome while sharing fascinating stories about sake history and brewing techniques. His explanations were clear and engaging, and he happily answered every question with patience and knowledge.
The tastings were thoughtfully paced and well curated, showcasing a great variety of styles so you can really appreciate the differences.
A big plus, he offers several tour options beyond the sake tour. We learned about his Nara excursions and food-focused tours, which sound fantastic for anyone wanting to explore more of the region.
If you want a fun, informative, and friendly experience with someone who clearly loves what he does, book this tour. You’ll leave with new knowledge, great memories, and probably a favorite bottle or two.

If I could give this tour...
If I could give this tour ten stars I would. Our tour guide, Shaan, took us through Gion on a magical tour. She was so considerate of us and taught us so much about the neighborhoods. We had fun and learned so much about Gion. We learned about the geisha and even were fortunate enough to see 3 junior and senior geishas on the streets as we toured the district. We throughly enjoyed ourselves as we walked the Gion district, seeing local highlights like teahouses, several Shrines and eateries. We are glad we booked this tour.

Amazing experience!
Absolutely recommend this experience! Not only is it a nice way to explore outside of the city, but our entire experience at the tasting was incredible. Our instructor walked us through the history and process of sake making, and how different steps of the process influence the end product's taste. He gave us instructions on how to read sake bottles (even if they're in Japanese), and helped us discover which sake profiles we like best! As someone who did not like sake going into this, I would highly recommend doing it (turns out we were just drinking the wrong kind for us!).

Educational and fun museum trip
This was an an even better experience than I expected. I thought we were just going to be walking around the museum reading the placards, but Taka took us around for a small group tour. We learned a lot about samurai and ninja. We had fun at the end dressing up as samurai and ninja and taking pictures.

Trip to Kyoto - Samurai
Take your time getting there. Depending on where you are staying, you may hit traffic. It was an amazing cultural experience with the ability to have a hands on experience on using a katana sword. The ones we used are a bit different than the "real" ones, for they are much heavier. We were broken into two groups. Half of us went outside for the sword experience and the others were inside doing breathing/meditation exercise and then we switched. Highly recommend.

This was our favorite...
This was our favorite activity in all of Japan! We were looking for a Japanese cooking class but most were just a single item. In this class with our wonderful chef/teacher Akiko, we made 6 different dishes! From the fluffy rolled omelets, spinach salad with homemade sesame dressing, chicken teriyaki, sushi roll, miso soup from scratch -to the spectacular shrimp and veggie tempura- it was an amazing experience! Akiko was an outstanding teacher who was not only able to explain the history of the ingredients and guide us through making food but also explain the all important presentation of the full bento box. And to top it off- it was all delicious! We had a great time cooking with our teen children and feel confident we could *mostly* reproduce the meal at home! :) We were given the full recipies for the dishes to take home so we feel optimistic! Thank you so much for this amazing experience Akiko-we are so appreciative!

My first kimono
It took us a while to find the shop but once we got there things went smoothly.
It was quite an experience to be fitted into the kimono. I had no idea of the undergarments which were a part of the outfit. My friend and I had a ball walking through the streets of Kyoto.

Brilliant Experience
A highlight of our trip. I unexpectedly found myself in a wheelchair unable to walk lots so this was a way to see the city still and it turned out to be one of our best Japanese experiences. We had Fumi and Kai as our guides and they were funny, knowledgeable, chatty and incredibly fit! We saw so much in our 2 hours with time to explore various areas.

Wonderful experience
The samurai experience in Kyoto was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the world of samurai culture. Dressing up in traditional attire was a fun start, and we felt like true warriors as we learned sword moves and practiced techniques with expert guidance. The highlight was definitely the dance with katanas—both exhilarating and mesmerizing!
We also enjoyed a live performance that brought the samurai tradition to life in a way we hadn’t expected. To top it all off, we had a photoshoot at the end, capturing memories of our time as samurai. This experience was both fun and educational, and we left feeling like we had truly stepped into history. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exciting, hands-on cultural experience in Kyoto!

So worth it!
Absolutely amazing! Kana was a gem and made learning how to make sushi look easy. It was absolutely delicious and hubby was converted! (He wasn’t particularly into sushi because of the raw fish, but everything was very fresh and tasty.) Kana’s husband, Keiran, was “Sous chef“ for the day and he gave us great tips on places to visit. 100% recommend this adventure. Thanks so much!

Brilliant guided tour of Kyoto
Woohee was an excellent guide. She asked what we were interested in and then tailored the tour around us. We visited lots of the main attractions around Kyoto - which we would never have found on our own. This included temples, shrines, markets and the various geisha areas within the City. Would definitely recommend this tour and especially Woohee.
