Beast meal I have eaten in Japan 10/10
Brilliant experience. Everything was explained in a way that was easy for beginners to understand. The food was amazing. Definitely the best thing I have eaten so far in Japan. Would recommend to anyone who travels to kyoto. It was the highlight of my trip so far. 10/10

Really enjoyed- great instructor.
Kento, our host, was great. He was very knowledgeable, had a great manner about him, and spoke fantastic English. He clearly explained the tea ceremony process, as a good teacher does, and made the session very special. We sat on stools, so didn’t have to kneel for an hour (as he did!). 1 hr was the perfect length of time. The matcha was great and thankfully we didn’t have to dress up as fake Japanese!

Wonderful experience...
Wonderful experience where we got to dress in kimonos and experience a tea ceremony in an old tea house. The whole process was very well explained and we had a demonstration and were then able to have a go and make our own tea. There is a very small garden where we were able to take photos and there is the option to keep the kimono until 6pm.

Amazing experience
We loved the experience as a family ... the master or sensei ( in Japanese) is 80 years old and super good ... he is a high grade teacher and obviously loved his job ... we had his student translating for us and we loved every minute of the practise ..... will strongly recommend this experience

Perfect way to learn more...
Perfect way to learn more about the culture. The tea ceremony felt so authentic, and my family loved learning about the different rituals and meanings behind the tradition; not to mention, the kimonos looked incredible! We also did the Nishiki Market tour after, and our guides were incredible, giving us recommendations and showing us hidden gems of the area. We got to do the whole tour in our kimonos, and they let us keep them until 6 pm, so we could take pictures. A must for those who want a more cultured experience.

Father and Son bonding excursion.
Really enjoyed this experience. Wife booked this for my son and I for some bonding time and 100% would do this again. The history and the training was enjoyable and really liked the class size. It was great to get away from the crowds and get into the history of the Samurai.

A very special afternoon!
Thank you, @toku36com , for the most special afternoon! The fitting experience with your beautiful kimonos, the full on family shoot by your lovely wife, followed by teaching us the rituals of the traditional tea ceremony was such a lovely experience. Thank you for welcoming us into your 4-generation kimono family business and helping us create wonderful lifetime memories. Arigatō gozaimashita!

This has been one of the...
This has been one of the highlights of my trip. Being dressed for the tea was fun and very considerate. All the women helping were very kind and gentle. The tea ceremony was beautiful and felt so meaningful. If you’re worried about sitting for so long or have bad knees they have some mini chairs. It was a wonderful experience!

Excellent personal ninja martial arts experience
As a practitioner of various martial arts (the kind without weapons), I booked this in order to get experience of that other type of art. My teacher (I never asked her name, oops!) was very nice, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. She also entertained my attempts to speak Japanese too lol.
We went through various aspects of ninja martial arts and techniques. There are the ones we see in anime, like hand signs and hiding behind rotating walls, but there was also cultural lessons about how each weapon or tool was used.
Somehow my previous training helped a lot for all the physical motions and techniques. I was able to hit targets with shuriken and such, and my swordplay was decent enough to do a short fight choreography with my teacher.
I was allowed to record the whole session for my personal vlog. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in martial arts culture, just be careful that it’s somewhat physically demanding!

Exceptional zen expe
The performance of the traditional tea ceremony by the tea master was impeccable. I recommend this particular tea experience very highly if one is interested in the setting as this tea room was backed by an exceptionally beautiful Japanese garden. Very meditative, Zen experience. Very happy that we went to this particular tea ceremony. Extremely convenient to do this before or after a visit to Kiyumeza Dera

From our first step into...
From our first step into the door, all the ladies were very inviting and kind. The process of the tea ceremony was educational but heart felt. The tea master made the experience even more of a special experience. We very much enjoyed this experience and will treasure it forever.

Best Experience Ever!
Riku provided the best experience I’ve encountered thus far on my Japan Visit. I feel like I went through actual training to become a Samurai. I am grateful for the knowledge this museum had to offer. Thank you also to Riu for taking us on a guided tour and allowing us to interact with the history through artifacts.
