Excellent day trip
A wonderful day out with Jacob who explained many sights. The trip was on a mini bus with a total of 11 tourists. The day was well paced. Masada and the Dead Sea are both must visit sights.

Pack lots of water and snacks.
For the Dead Sea it was a bit crowded but it did not alter my experience at all. The views were amazing. Plenty of amenities to rinse and shower right at the beach. More showers up at the gift shop and parking lot where you get off the bus.

A moving experience
We had a phenomenal experience with Enrique. He was so attentive and made the experience so special and his knowledge added so much, he assisted my mom with such dignity and care.

One of the Best Tours I’ve Ever Experienced — Thank You Sharif! 🙏✨
Today I joined the Masada, Ein Gedi, and Dead Sea tour with Mr Sharif Abdoand honestly it was one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced.
Sharif was not just a guide — he explained everything with deep knowledge of the history and culture, exactly like a great teacher. He helped us truly understand why Masada is so important, the meaning behind these places, and the stories connected to them.
From the historical significance of Masada to every detail about the region and the Dead Sea, everything was explained with passion, patience, and professionalism. It didn’t feel like just a tour; it felt like a meaningful educational and human experience.
I truly enjoyed every moment and highly recommend this tour group, especially Sharif, to anyone looking for a professional and unforgettable experience.
Also thank to tourist Israel

People Also Ask
Is it worth visiting Masada, Israel?
Yes, it’s worth visiting Masada, one of Israel’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. The natural rock fortress overlooks the Dead Sea, so the setting is spectacular. It’s also home to the remains of Herod’s Palace, and offers insights into the Jewish refugees who held out here against the Romans.
How much is the Masada entrance fee?
The main Masada entrance fee is 31 NIS for adults, 17 NIS for children, and 26 NIS for students. It costs an extra 20 NIS to enter the museum. The cable car costs 28 NIS for adults and 14 NIS for children one-way. A return ticket is 46 NIS for adults, and 28 NIS for children.
Do I need a tour to visit Masada?
No, you don’t need a tour to visit Masada, though you do need to book in advance to visit the museum. However, to secure your admission ticket and avoid disappointment, it’s wise to reserve time slots on the cable car and book a tour with transport to get you there on time.
How long is the cable car ride up Masada?
The Masada cable car is the world’s lowest aerial tramway, ascending from 843 feet (257 meters) below sea level to 108 feet (33 meters) above sea level in around three minutes. However, it only opens at 8am, making walking your only option for a sunrise visit.
How long does it take to climb Masada?
There are two main walking paths up Masada: the 1.5-mile (2.5-kilometer) Snake Path, which the Jewish refugees took, and the 0.5-mile (700-meter) Roman Ramp, which the Romans built to help conquer them. The Roman Ramp takes about 15 minutes; the Snake Path about 45 minutes.
Can I wear shorts to Masada?
Yes, you can wear shorts to Masada. Even though it’s a very important place in Jewish history, it’s not a holy site so you don’t need to cover your legs. Summer temperatures around the Dead Sea can be oppressively hot, so many travelers find shorts more comfortable than long pants.
