What are people saying about Bacalar

Book with confidence. The team behind it is very welcoming and tries to make a very nice experience for everyone on boar
Great boat as advertised. Am mentioning this, as I booked other water
tours in other areas in Tulum and PDC, which to our surprise, were not what was mentioned. Our guide was very social, giving us a bit of history of the place and was open to all kind of other topics for discussion. That made the tour a pleasant day out. We even stayed a but longer than the foreseen schedule, as he wanted to make us really enjoy the experience. + I liked the sailing skills.

“Amir AdvenTours is an absolute must if you’re visiting Bacalar. We were a family of four including two young boys — ages 3 and 6 — and our guides Samuel and Carlito made every single one of us feel welcome from the moment we stepped on the boat.
The four-hour adventure tour of Lake Bacalar was phenomenal. We explored multiple swimming spots and cenotes along the lake, each one more stunning than the last. Samuel and Carlito were incredibly entertaining, knowledgeable, and warm — the perfect guides for a family looking to experience the magic of the seven colors. And we made friends with our boat mates too!
This is hands down the best way to explore Lake Bacalar. Don’t think twice — book it!”

Fab tour
We had an amazing morning, we were picked up and taken all around the lagoon with a guided tour of cenotes and beautiful spots in the lagoon. A surprise platter of fresh tropical fruit, an our own personal Photographer and photos to leave with. Back in time for lunch and a lie down in the shade. 10/10 Would recommend

Amazing
Very good boat trip with a very friendly and knowledgeable captain. We learnt all about the lagoon, were given fruit, beer and had a couple of chances to swim. Please be aware that they ask you not to apply suncream before or during the boat trip. We got very burnt so try to plan ahead.

We had an absolutely superb half-day excursion! Our guide, Danny, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire experience fun and engaging with fascinating stories about the region’s history and the lagoon’s marine life.
Everything was really well organized with comfortable seating, plenty of cold drinks and fresh fruit, and several great spots for swimming and sightseeing.
We even stayed an extra hour to enjoy the lagoon from kayaks, which was the perfect way to end the afternoon.
Thank you, Danny, for such a memorable experience! Five star captain.

Beautiful Sunrise
This was an incredible experience, watching the sunrise come up whilst paddle boarding on the lagoon is something I will never forget. The fruit served was a lovely touch and Miguel was very informative with regards to the lagoon and nature surrounding. Would definitely recommend this, even for those that are sceptical about an early start, this is definitely unmissable.

Tour with Best Captain without the captain 💙 cap
Great experience and worth every penny we spent. Our Captain Angelo was very friendly, skilled, multilingual and knowledgeable about the lake and its eco systems. He made sure that we had the best time even though the weather was not cooperating at the beginning. It was raining little hard at the beginning but he changed the plan slightly to swim instead. It was so fun to swin in the rain. I recommend Angelo to future traveller.

Great sailboat tour!
The sailboat departs from Casa Sirena. Depending on where along the coastal road you are staying, you may be able walk or if not just taxi there. Staff was very friendly. The price includes 3 stops: Canal de Piratas, Isla de Pájaros y Cenote Negro. The water on our tour was beautiful! Good winds and a sunny day. You are not allowed to wear sunscreen. So if you burn easily, I recommend wearing a rash guard or cover up. The experience includes two beers per person and water, plus some fruit. The mango they gave us as a snack was delicious. In my case, it ended up being just two people on the boat, plus Irvin & Karla. Both very welcoming and kind. Normally the boat fits eight people.
Definitely recommend!

Great Sailboat experience
Cruising Bacalar on a sailboat was the highlight of our trip. Belen was great and not only explained the history of the lagoon but also provided basic information on the concept of sailing. We enjoyed the drinks and fruit onboard. Also the stops for swimming were excellent.

Fun tour with excellent captains
Most of the tours in Bacalar are quite standard and it really is the captains/guides and the boats that make the difference. I had excellent captains - Angelo and David - who were competent at managing the sailboat, knowledgeable and great at bringing the group together. The sailboat was also in good shape

Bacalar is beautiful!
The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. The guys were very hospitable and made sure you were never thirsty or hungry. The food was prepared fresh on the sailboat and it was delicious. I would recommend this to everyone who makes the trip down here to Bacalar. We will definitely be back. Loved it. 💜
