Skip the Tour

The skip the line was unnecessary before 10am as the ticket booth was walk up even on Saturday in late June A brief lecture was delivered, in the shade, prior to entering, over the noise and chaos of the city. Difficult to learn this way. Once inside, no further information was presented, just free wandering. Not a good value.

Great way to see the Cistern

The company was easy to contact and very helpful. the meeting point was easy to find and the guide was extremely knowledgeable. most important was setting the tour up in advance saved us a lot of time waiting in line to get in. So people waited in line for almost two hours before being able to enter.

Chaotic Start, Decent Recovery — Mixed Experience Overall

We had a frustrating start that almost ruined the entire experience. We arrived on time at the meeting point but the first guide had such a large group with no clear instructions or name check that we unknowingly followed him all the way to the Basilica entrance. He then told us to go away — that we had missed our tour and it was our fault for following him without introducing ourselves first. Completely unacceptable attitude, especially for first-time visitors who didn't know the process. Thankfully, a guard nearby overheard the situation and stepped in — telling us there was another tour in 30 minutes and to head back to the meeting point. That guard deserves more credit than the guide did. The second guide — I believe his name was Omar/Umar — was a completely different experience. He checked our names, welcomed us warmly and said not to worry. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and even had a good sense of humor. He made the visit enjoyable. One thing to note — as others have mentioned, the guided portion is only about 15 minutes. After that you're on your own to explore and take photos, so don't expect a full guided walkthrough. Overall — the Basilica itself is stunning and worth visiting. But the organization and the first guide were a real letdown. Ask to confirm your spot clearly before following anyone.

Easy meet and able to skip the line. However although think the guide was probably very knowledgeable and spoke good English I struggled to hear him with his accent and with all the background noise. Think headphones would have helped. I don't think it was really worth the extra price and maybe would have been better with the audio guide.

The Basilica system is amazing however it is very noisy & we could not hear our guide. Suggest getting the headsets rather than relying on a guide. Would definitely visit if in Istanbul.

We had an amazing time. Spectacular to see. It was very noisy at the time, huge class of school children came through and made it hard to hear our guide. He did do well, and then you explore. Loved it. Directions for meeting point are a little confusing. Just ask others and you’ll find you are in the right place. For some reason our ticket hadn’t been activated even though I had all the confirmation details. The guide handled it quickly and efficiently and got it sorted.

Going to see the Cistern was a truly wonderful experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable enough but to be honest he was only with us for about 20 minutes - even so we skipped the lines which was great. The Cistern is not to be missed.

Unfortunately I did not take a pic of our guide to share his name, but he was great! His English was perfect & knowledge was superb! We asked many questions of which he always answered. This was #2 of my favorite places & #1 was Hagia Sophia! Wonderful city, very safe & very cosmopolitan!!!!

The only benefit of this tour versus buying your own ticket is that you don't have to wait in a very long line to get in (you skip the line) and you get ten minute short storyline about basilica - then you explore on your own. It's worth it as long as you know what to expect.

This was one of the places we most wanted to see in Istanbul, along with the Hagia Sophia. We were not disappointed with either. It was so nice to avoid the long ticket line and go right in. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Guide was a no show

We were at the meeting point at 11:00am waited until 11:45 no guide showed up!!!!!! I sent multiple messages to the service provider but the only response I got ( 20 minutes after first message ) was guide will have white flag with epass on it. Not very helpful seeing it was already 45 minutes after our start time. We had to stand in a line for 40 minutes buy a second lot of tickets and see the Basillica by ourselves. I would advise not to book with this company unless you like wasting time and money.
