This tour was a really great way to see all of the highlights of Kathmandu in one day. I thought the tour was well organized and not overwhelming in terms of information, but when I look back we did SO much. It can be sometimes ~20 minutes in the car between sites which I think helped it feel less overwhelming. My guide was Razz who was great at giving the highlights and answering any questions that I had. I appreciated how he let me take my time in some places and was receptive when I was moving quicker through other places. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour!

We did the same tour twice it was so good!

This was so good, we did the same tour TWICE!! I don't think I need to say more than that. Deepak is brilliant. he carefully selected local dishes that will appeal to all palettes and his love for Nepal and knowledge of his country makes for interesting learnings throughout the tour. The food is phenomenal, waaay too much but make sure you save a little space for the last stop - totally worth it. First tour we did it with only the two of us and the second time with a group of 10. Deepak has no problem with small or large groups, he is extremely accommodating. We had a marvellous time both times and enjoyed the food and culturural experience.

I had a very pleasant experience with this food tour. There was plenty of food and it was all very tasty. Because the food was served at different restaurants there was also some time to rest a bit and you didn't get all the food at once which is very good. My guide, Punam and our driver were delightful and knowledgeable. The tour covered the four key monuments listed in the guide books - Swayambhu, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. I learned much about the history and significance of Buddhist/Hindu practices plus a nice overview of local cuisine and crafts like Thanka painting. The ride to each site was an adventure! Highly recommended, you’ll truly appreciate the Nepali.

Wonderful view of Everest

Our tour guide picked us from hotel and initially I was disappointed we are on Yeti Air’s propeller plane - for the price I am paying I was expecting Buddha Air or Shree. However all was good and sky was clear. Those sitting on the left has longer view of mountain range until the plane makes a turn then those on right side will have glimpse of Everest immediately. Overall wonderful experience !

If you are interested in alternative healing you must do!

I have always been interested in alternative medicine and healers since I was a little girl. Krishna was an excellent guide. He explained what the Shaman would do and what it was. I was able to have my own consultation and he explained everything to me and what the Shaman said and explained the ceremony. During the ceremony I could feel the vibrations and energy moving up and throughout my body. I was definitely a lot more relaxed afterwards. I was also able to witness locals visit with Shaman as well and their ceremonies. Each ceremony was different. Krishna was very thorough, friendly, and welcoming! He even took photos and video of the ceremony for me. I couldn’t ask for a better guide.

A Wonderful Window into Nepal

After having traveled to over 70 countries and taken my fair share of tours, our guide on this tour, Bidhya, was quite possibly the best tour guide I've ever had. We started our morning with a pick up at our hotel where Bidhya was waiting and drove out to Nagarkot for a short hike through the hills halfway across the suspension bridge and up to the lookout point for the Himalayas. The drive to get there was about an hour and a half in a comfortable, air conditioned car, where Bidhya gave us a very detailed explanation of the Kathmandu Valley and its history and traditions. After Nagarkot, we headed to Bhaktapur where we walked among the squares and temples, and the local streets, for a good two hours. This was a fantastic look into a fascinating world. All throughout, Bidhya explained the importance and use of the squares along with a background as to how Hinduism and Bhuddism are practiced in Nepal. After a good 6 hours, we returned to our hotel, extremely satisfied with our experience. A huge shoutout to Breakfree Adventures for putting this trip together and all the kudos in the world for the best guide in Kathmandu, Bidhya. Kudos as well to our great driver Lok who managed those Kathmandu Valley streets to perfection. A wonderful and highly recommended experience!!!

A delightful and delicious tour

Had an absolutely fantastic afternoon with Swoyam as he introduced us to so many new and amazing dishes. Not only was the food fantastic but we were given a wonderful insight into Nepalese history and culture along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kathmandu. So many of the places we visited were tucked away down little alleys or in quiet squares that we would never have discovered by ourselves. Thank you for a truly unique afternoon.
