このツアーでは、料理教室の前に、Osmanbey MetroからErgenekon Street、Kurtuluş Streetを歩くシティツアーを楽しみました。トルコの朝食文化をはじめ、街歩きをしなければわからない市民の暮らしや日常について知ることができ、とても興味深かったです。その後はホストのご自宅で、トルコの家庭料理を作りました。トルコの食卓に欠かせないレンズ豆のスープは優しい味わいで、食欲をさらに引き立ててくれました。ひき肉とジャガイモを使ったボレキ（börek）もとても美味しかったです。料理だけでなく、トルコの文化や生活についても学べる素晴らしい体験でした。おすすめです。 ⸻ Before the cooking class, we enjoyed a walking city tour from Osmanbey Metro through Ergenekon Street and Kurtuluş Street. It was a great opportunity to learn about everyday life in Türkiye, including the culture of Turkish breakfast, which is something you would not fully understand without exploring the neighborhood on foot. Afterward, we went to the host’s home and cooked traditional Turkish home-style dishes. The lentil soup, an essential part of Turkish dining, had a gentle and comforting flavor that stimulated the appetite. The börek filled with minced meat and potatoes was also delicious. This experience offered much more than just cooking—it provided valuable insight into Turkish culture and daily life. Highly recommended!

Erik our food tour guide took us to some of the best and most traditional Turkish food places. We tried everything from stuffed patatoes, stuffed mussels, kabob meat stuffed hand roll and bulgar hand roll and of course baklava for dessert. So delicious!

Wonderful traditional Turkish breakfast that we helped prepare. Didn’t know there was such a variety of food. My favorite was honeycomb with homemade yogurt on bread, delicious! Hosts even made sure my wife had her needed gluten bread.😄 Our host Nuran and her some Baver were the best. Even had her other son and his wife join us for a truly Turkish family breakfast. Baver offered great suggestions on sights in the city. It is well worth it👍

Amazing time with Samira!

We had an amazing time doing this Turkish coffee workshop. Samira was an absolute treat. We kind of lucked out, and it was just the two of us in this one workshop. She gave us such personalized attention, and we bonded over coffee, the world, and everything in between! Plus, we learned so much about the history of Turkish coffee and had a really fun time making our own. Highly recommend and ask for Samira if you can!

Incredible & Unique Experience!!

This carpet weaving workshop was such a massive highlight of an already stellar trip to Istanbul! We had a wonderful, in-depth conversation with the instructor, who was so helpful and informative about all the fascinating aspects of Turkish carpets - the history, symbolism, materials, the overall industry, and, of course, how to actually go about weaving our carpet swatches. Not only that, but we really got to connect on a personal and cross-cultural level and ended up spending a fair amount of time just talking about our lives in different places. With his careful and attentive help, our swatches turned out so beautiful! I will always treasure our carpet pieces and the wonderful memories. This experience gets my strongest recommendation, and an easy 5 stars - if you’re in Istanbul, ABSOLUTELY sign up for this!!!

They had a great...

They had a great selection of colors for us to pick from and some helpful easy guides and examples to base our designs off of, while also being flexible if we wanted to try other things. They also provided tea and a small snack of Turkish delights. I loved the size of the lamps, I thought they were perfect for people who are traveling where it's smaller but also enough space to get creative with the designs. Super fun activity and right in the heart of Galata neighborhood, so very accessible.
