MJ Tours provided exceptional service during our visit to Roatan. Michelle was incredibly helpful when we encountered an unexpected emergency, personally driving me to meet the rest of the tour group. Our driver, Ricky, ensured that I was able to finish the missed portion of the excursion while also looking after my wife during my absence. I highly recommend MJ Tours to anyone who values a welcoming, family-like experience, as they handled every request with grace. It is only unfortunate that the weather was not ideal.

Best Time in Roatan

Jessica was truly amazing!!! She told us all about the local culture, and the different flora and fauna. Not only was Jessica the absolute best, but so we're the experiences!!! I've never been so happy as I was surrounded by some truly incredible animals. The beach we went to was also absolutely beautiful!!! We will definitely be booking again and telling everyone we know to do the same!!!

We were visiting from MSC...

We were visiting from MSC cruise, didn’t want to do their shore excursion via the ship. Came across this excursion I found on TikTok and it was wonderful! Honduras is a busy port with cruise vendors coming at your throat, it’s highly irritating and annoying. The area is a little rough outside the cruise port. Once passed the port area, off to the resort, it’s beautiful. The resort was nice and clean. The location was great and we had a wonderful private driver, Kendrick!!!!! He gave us a guided tour on our way to the resort, pointed out great pic spots and souvenir shops. Food and drinks weren’t included with our day pass, but both food and drinks were great!!! The beach and pool area was included.

Perfect excursion for cruisers or anyone

We booked out excursion here rather than through Royal Caribbean, and I’m so glad we did. The trip was about half the price of what we would have paid booking a similar excursion through the cruise line, and the experience was fantastic. Our guide explained that booking directly also means more of the money actually stays with the local tour company and guides rather than a large portion going to the cruise line, which made us even happier with our decision. Finding them was much easier than I expected. We simply walked out of the main cruise port gate and asked where Gate 1 was. Everyone we encountered was happy to point us in the right direction. Our group was smaller, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. The bus was very nice, comfortable, well air-conditioned, and even had chargers. Our guide, Ria/Rita, was friendly, knowledgeable, a great driver, and made us feel completely safe throughout the day. The sloth and monkey sanctuary was wonderful, and the beach was beautiful. I didn’t snorkel myself, but others said the snorkeling was great as well. What really set ROA Adventures apart, though, was how they treated us when things didn’t go according to plan. My daughter became ill during the excursion, and our guide went completely out of the way to make sure she could get back to the ship as quickly as possible—even though doing so added at least an hour of extra driving round-trip. There was no hesitation; they simply took care of us. Then my mom realized she had left her water bottle behind. Amazingly, they made that long drive AGAIN just to bring her water bottle back to the ship! That level of kindness and customer service is something you don’t forget. We got a smaller, more personal tour, paid about half of what we would have through the cruise line, felt safe and well cared for, and had a company that genuinely went above and beyond for our family. I would book with ROA Adventures again in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting Roatán on a cruise, I highly recommend booking directly with them. They absolutely earned this five-star review!

Don’t Think About It—Just Book It! ❤️

This excursion was AMAZING! Planning an activity for 8 people can be difficult, but there was literally a little something for everyone. We felt so loved, welcomed, and safe with our tour guide, Jessica. She was incredibly knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to immerse us in the culture. We even stopped at a supermarket, which was personally one of my favorite parts because I LOVE trying new snacks whenever I travel to different countries! 😂 Every part of this experience gave us a deeper appreciation for Honduras, and each of us left with a new love in our hearts for this gorgeous country. The food was amazing, the culture was rich, and the people were so kind. We loved the entire tour, and honestly, we especially loved getting to spend the day with Jessica! Fun for the whole family!

Our family absolutely loved the Roatán Anderson Zip Line and Monkey Tour! This was easily the most fun excursion of our trip so far. The zip lining was a blast, and getting up close with the monkeys and other animals made the experience even better. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made sure our family had a great time from start to finish. Roatan Ocean Adventures is an amazing local company. Communication was great, everyone was so friendly, and we had such a great day in Roatan. There are no words for how incredible the snorkeling was, and I've snorkeled a lot! It's open water, so if you're not a strong swimmer, ask for the life jacket and noodle!!
