Great Trip, Wonderful Crew

Captain Nick and First Mate Cass made the trip fun, safe and memorable. They were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, courteous and great communicators. We learned a lot about the Bay of Islands and the Hole in the Rock. We were fortunate enough to see a pair of dolphins playing during our trip. Nick slowed down to an idle and the dolphins swam around the boat several times. They jumped out of the water and put on quite a show! I’m glad I took the trip and would do again if given the opportunity.

A Must Do Experience

The glow worm cave and experience was wonderful. A local guide for the cave tour was Maori and provided a history of the cave and details on the lifecycle of the glow worms. Never felt rushed and thouroghly enjoyed the tour. The overall tour guide pointed out numerous sites and went out of her way to give us a unique view of our cruise ship.

Epic Adventure!

What a perfect day for an adventure. Luke was the best captain, and provided an epic journey out to Moturua. The lunch provided was delicious and ample time was given to explore the island and Frenchman’s Bay. I was able to do the entire island track, paddle board, and go for a brief swim. Awesome! Note: If doing the entire track, I recommend a good level of fitness/speed and going anti-clockwise on the loop track. Outstanding day! Thanks, Luke!

Definitely worth the...

Definitely worth the experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also worked hard to make sure our group was in the best place to be able to hear the guide in the glow worm tour part. He was friendly and flexible as our the group was arriving to the tour via tenders. He gets a 5 out 5 as my vote!

Hole in the Island a Highlight

The staff were very friendly - great communication very email and messaging, in person they were friendly and helpful and the crew on the boat were fantastic pointing on wildlife and other features on the Bay of Islands. Unfortunately we did not see Whales or Dolphins but we did see Fur Seals and numerous birds. And then the absolute highlight the Hole in the Island - it was stunning to see in person and because the water was not rough we actually went thru the Hole and it was absolutely AMAZING. This was definitely a highlight of my whole New Zealand trip. The Meal was very good and to walk around on the islands was a bonus - some of our group went swimming in the calm Crystal clear and refreshing water while we did a hike amongst hundreds (if not thousands) of years old forests. Stunning!!!!

Exhilarating half day

Very exhilarating especially as we were able to go through the hole in the rock on the boat . A very varied 4 and a half hours , sailing through the bay visiting 2 islands , one with a fantastic view of the bay , and of course out in open sea to visit the hole . Hamish the skipper was very informative, and amusing in his commentary and the other members of the crew , were very welcoming, and ready to assist as well as also providing information, maps etc . Very good value for the cost

Best way to see the Cape

It is a long day, and the beach section has been shortened and now misses the large sand dunes but overall a relaxing experience and better than driving up to the Cape yourself. We had George as our driver/guide and he was excellent. Great sense of humour and made the day for his "Bus Family"

Great experience, go for it

Great service. The cruise was well equipped and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The waters were a little chilly that day and the staff was really on their feet with the service and helping passengers with vomit bags and stuff. The commentary was good as well

A Must Visit Experience, even on a wet windy day.

This is so much more than a visit to an outdoor space where the treaty was signed. It offers an insight into the history and culture of New Zealand by way of a guided tour and cultural performance which gave us an understanding of what led to the treaty and how it was perceived at the time. Our tour guide was amazing, the enthusiasm and knowledge she shared with us for the history of the Treaty made it so interesting. It was a really wet, windy day so we did not spend too long outside but there were plenty of indoor areas and a museum to explore. This visit went beyond my expectations and in my opinion is a must do activity.

Still Smiling

We were wondering how an 82 and 79 year old could be accommodated but we had the great assistance of Ben and crew. The weather was perfect and it took all the rest of the day to relax the smiles on our faces. Of all the choices we had that sunny day we picked the best. There is not a negative word to be said. I recommend this adventure to all reading this account
