This temple was founded in 8th century, and accommodates many monks for Zen training (silent meditation in Buddhism). The mountain was considered sacred, and its nature has been preserved for more than 1300 years. This mountain has various hiking trails, some along the river and some along the ridge. If climbing up the trail is difficult, you can take a cable car, which makes climbing much easier. The guide can explain both the nature and spiritual meaning of this mountain.
