I loved this trip but the guide made a point of telling us how his family all had the flu and he was probably to get sick but he nobly would still take the tour. He did get sick and then made my husband so ill that it ruined the next week of our holiday

windswept solitude
The stories from our guide/driver Liam, the closeness of the group in numbers (max of 16), the gaelic overtures, and of course the sites you wont see elsewhere but the Outer Hebrides. Btw, you can book directly through Rabbies.com. Seamless

A truly memorable and worthwhile experience.
The millions of sheep, the wide variation in landscape, the historic buildings, the guide's knowledge and pleasant nature

Wonderful experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Kev was an excellent tour guide! So pleased we were able to visit with a weaver on Lewis. We really appreciated all the information Kev narrated along the way about the history of the area and of the places we visited. Kev's easy going nature kept the trip relaxing. We enjoyed the Dunroamin B&B accommodations immensely as well. Our host, Donnie, was a hoot ( and an excellent breakfast chef!) I will happily recommend Rabbies!

  • The island has hotels, guesthouses, and traditional cottages—but travelers looking to save money can consider camping. There are sites near Luskentyre Beach, Seilebost, and elsewhere.

  • Weather on the island can be unpredictable, so pack layered clothing, waterproof gear, and sturdy footwear.

  • When planning, keep in mind that outside of Tarbert, parts of the island can be remote, with fewer shops, restaurants, and gas stations.
