We will start our walk in Parque los Andes, which at the weekend transforms from a sleepy park into a bustling flea market. If you are visiting at the weekend, we will take a look at the stools. We will learn the story of Gauchito Gil - an Argentine folk hero. We will take a look inside a shrine and see how people pay their respect to this quasi-saint gaucho We will then make our way to Chacarita Cemetery which has a fascinating (AND SPOOKY) history. We will see the impressive tombs and mausoleums which were built during the country’s belle epoquê period. To finish we will stop for a snack at a local pizzeria dating from 1947. We will try a slice of Argentine pizza and enjoy a beer, glass of wine or a soft drink!
