A great slice of Cambodia’s culture and history
If you’re looking for a deep dive into local Cambodian culture, history, and way of life, this tour is for you. The morning market was fascinating and informative in terms of the sights, sounds, and smells. My guide - JB - was excellent! He is so knowledgeable and he took the time to point out and explain what we were seeing and its importance to locals. This alone was worth the price. The street art tour and the history behind the graffiti came to life with JB’s knowledge and thoughtful explanations. I highly recommend this tour!

Great Tour
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. You get a real feel for the history of the city. The Palace is very impressive and I would recommend visiting the museum as well.

We had a private tour, just the four of us , of the highlights of the city. It was excellent . Our guide was very informative and friendly and thanked us for coming to see his country. Our transport was excellent also, very comfortable with good AC.

An excellent overview of Phnom Penh with an excellent guide
An excellent overview of Phnom Penh with an excellent guide. The tour guide July was very knowledgeable. He was punctual. The tour started at 8:30 am and ended at 3:15 pm. It was too bad that I couldn’t get to see the inside of the Royal Palace due to the holiday but the tour company said that it will refund me $10.

A brief history
A tour of the Royal Palace was impressive for its architecture & accessibility to items of historic significance & beauty. This was in stark contrast to the tragedy of the genocide displayed at Choeung Ek killing fields as well as the brutality of the Tuol Sleng prison. One can only hope that lessons are learned from the horrors of the past.

Phnom Phen in a Day
A busy day and the temperature was up, but our guide a lady think her name was Minh and our driver were fantastic, kept us hydrated throughout. Minh’s knowledge of the varying areas was great and provided good commentary throughout. Well worth a private tour

Full day tour of Phnom Penh
All the sites mentioned in their itinerary were memorable especially the palace, pagoda & French style central markets. We also visited S24 which left a lasting impression on us. Our guideMali couldn’t do enough for us. She changed the itinerary to suit our particular wants as after seeing S24 we did not wish to visit the Killing Fields. She was very informative, helpful and attentive. Our driver was also a very good, safe driver.

Nice overview of Phnom Penh.
Great tour. Parts are sobering, parts are interesting, and parts are fun. But overall it’s a nice overview of Phnom Penh, especially if you’re not spending a lot of time in the city. Traveling by air conditioned mini van was nice because we had a chance to cool off between visits. Our guide Molly was great and very friendly and willing to accommodate our requests.

When to visit

The market is open daily from early morning until late afternoon.
It’s a great way to immerse yourself in local Khmer culture.
During rainy season, the market is prone to flooding; try to visit during dry season if you can.
Prepare to barter for goods; many vendors offer tourists much higher prices.
