Ryogoku beyond sumo. This isn’t just a walking tour—it’s a journey through Edo’s resilience. Ryogoku, now known for sumo, was once the beating heart of Edo’s joys and sorrows. Fires, floods, earthquakes, and even war tore through this riverside district time and again—but each time, the people rebuilt with strength, artistry, and compassion. We begin at a temple that offered rest to the forgotten, then walk along the Sumida River to explore how water shaped both life and tragedy in Edo. We’ll stop for a traditional lunch in a lively food hall, then visit the Great Kanto Earthquake Memorial Museum and Tokyo Memorial Hall to reflect on how Tokyo’s people endured catastrophe and loss. From there, we continue to a shrine dedicated to the legendary ancestor of sumo, before stepping into the colorful world of Hokusai—whose art captured Edo’s vibrant spirit even in hard times. This tour is a living story of survival, remembrance, and renewal—a walk through Tokyo’s heart of resilience.

Kawagoe is the perfect escape from Tokyo's bustling modernity: in fact, even though many foreign tourists don't know about it, Kawagoe is so rich in heritage and tradition and it deserves a full day to be visited. First, we will visit Kitain Temple, a remarkable complex as it shows a two-storied pagoda, together with some parts of the old Edo Castle. Next, we will walk along Taisho Roman Yume Dori, a short yet interesting street, leading to Kawagoe's main attraction, Kura no Machi: we will walk along the beautiful warehouses before moving on to the symbol of the city, Toki no kane: a tower bell that overlooks the central part of town. From there we will move to Kashiya Yokocho, an alley where traditional candy shops are located. At the end of the tour, if you chose one of the option, you will be introduced to a rickshaw rider or a Kimono rental shop: you will be free to explore more of Kawagoe, go back to Tokyo, visit the close Sayama city or move to Omiya and catch a Shinkansen train

Are you looking for a unique and creative experiment during your adventure this time? In this tour, not only you can make an original souvenir for your precious person or for yourself, but also you will be able to know about Japanese history and culture more deeply. Nakano is so close to Shinjuku, just next stop from Shinjuku by JR Chu-o Line. Why is this west side of Tokyo Nakano so popular city to live? Come and feel very casual and easy-going living area in Tokyo. Narrow back streets, so many gourmet restaurants, unique anime shops and underground shopping mall will make you feel excited. After the active down town, we move to quiet residencial area by walking (or using a local public bus). I recommend this tour because it can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. Famous sightseeing spots are not included in this tour but I'd like you to feel as if you were home staying in Japan. Normal life is full of culture!

Welcome to Shimokitazawa — Tokyo’s chillest neighborhood and my home. Let me show you what makes this place so special, from hidden alleys to the best vintage shops. It’s a side of the city most tourists never get to see. On this walking tour, I’ll take you to my favorite spots — not the ones in guidebooks, but the ones locals actually go to. Whether you're into thrifting, street photography, Japanese subculture, or just want to relax with good coffee and good conversation, this is the place. We’ll wander through narrow backstreets, browse unique secondhand shops, spot murals and local art, and take in the laid-back vibe that makes Shimokitazawa so loved. I’ll share local tips along the way — where to eat, what to shop for, and how to enjoy Tokyo like someone who lives here.

Hi guys! I’m Yuki.I’ve been running walking tours for over a year now. I studied education at Meiji University and have a junior high school social studies teaching license. I also worked in Vancouver, Canada for about a year and a half. If you just walk around here, it’s honestly hard to know what you’re looking at. I’ll break down who the Emperor is, why this place matters, and how Japanese people see the Emperor today. We’ll take a walk through the Imperial Palace area, which used to be Edo Castle. I’ll share easy stories about samurai life, castle defenses, and things like watchtowers and moats. We’ll also visit some popular Japanese gardens. They’re great for photos, and there’s a small model of the old castle that helps you picture what this place looked like back in the day. I recently launched this tour, so there aren’t many reviews yet—that’s why I’ve kept the price a bit lower. But don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of guiding experience, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the tour!

This is a test tour operated by our company. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share your feedback after the tour. "Yanaka & Nezu Walking Tour — Where Old Tokyo Still Breathes This walking tour invites you to explore the quiet heart of Tokyo, in Yanaka and Nezu — neighborhoods where time slows down. Wander past wooden houses, local temples, and family-run shops, and see how tradition and everyday life still blend naturally here. Rather than famous sights, you’ll discover how Tokyoites find beauty in narrow lanes, seasonal rituals, and small daily gestures — a living expression of Japan’s spirit that endures in Yanaka and Nezu."

This private tour offers a cultural experience in Yanaka, a popular strolling area for Japanese people. Yanaka is also known as “Cat Town". It is also full of alleys, slopes, and temples, where cats can be seen relaxing in the emotional streets. In addition to the experience of painting “Manekineko (beckoning cats),” cute ornaments that have been placed in stores as merchants' items since the Edo period, you will watch a finger puppet show. You can design your own beckoning cat and take it home as a mascot that will continue to bring you good fortune even after the tour is over. The finger puppets will be played in a theater dedicated to finger puppets. You can enjoy a short play that makes you laugh without words. Recommended for those who want to experience Japanese culture with a difference!
