Highly recommended tour !

We really enjoyed this activity. The hike up in the darkness and reaching the top at sunrise was absolutely amazing as the weather was a bit cooler. It got hot by the time we were in ein gedi but absolutely beautiful there too! We ended the tour with swimming / floating in the Dead Sea and covering us in the mud.

More than just Masada and Dead Sea tour.

This was a great trip even though it started out rainy. The operator was friendly open and candid. Because of the rain he shortened our trip to Ein Gedi, giving us enough time to see the waterfall but not slip or fall exploring further. Instead he took us to the site of an ancient synagogue, where we saw marvelous mosaics and a view of Masada from its base, and a date farm. He also showed us how the dead sea is evaporating and as its shores recide there are sink holes and destruction.

Know before you go

There is an entrance fee to enter the reserve, and tickets include a map of the park’s hiking trails and attractions.
Wear comfortable shoes, and bring sunscreen and plenty of water, especially if you plan on hiking; temperatures can reach 100°F (38°C) in the summer months.
The uneven and often gravelly tracks mean that Ein Gedi is mostly inaccessible to wheelchair users.
Visitor facilities include restrooms, a kiosk, and a gift shop at the reserve entrance.
