The Kells Monastic Site is a must for history and art buffs, especially those interested in stone crosses.

Wear comfortable, waterproof shoes as the ground is uneven throughout the site (and inaccessible to wheelchairs or strollers).

Be sure to bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella as weather can change quickly, and rain showers are expected.
