Adventurous travelers who love the outdoors will enjoy this self-guided rafting and biking tour that crosses the Czech-German border, and then back again. Starting in Děčín, you’ll be provided with inflatable boats and a map. From there, paddle down the Elbe River to Bad Schandau, in Germany. Drop off the boats and pick up bicycles for your ride along the gentle Elbe Cycle Route.

Discover the beauty of the river Elbe with a paddle in your hand. You will ride a canoe from Děčín to the German town of Schmilka. The river is quiet without any weirs and therefore suitable for beginners. Right behind Děčín begins the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, which has the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe. During the paddle tour, you will enjoy views of rock walls and towers of various shapes and shores full of herons. We will take the boats with all the equipment from you at the end of the boat tour.

Your experience starts at Camp Děčín, where we will hand you in a boat, paddles, and a dry bag. A short briefing will take place on-site. The trip has 22 km of a pleasant pace in 4.5 hours. When leaving Děčín, you will be amazed by the looks of the Shepherd's Wall with the Via Ferrata and with Děčín chateau on the other side, which rises above the river. The river will take you through a majestic sandstone canyon through the national parks of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland to the spa town of Bad Schandau in neighboring Germany. It is up to you whether you choose to visit the center of the spa town with many restaurants and nice cafes or choose a direct route back to Děčín from the nearby train station.
