We are still talking about this incredible trek through the countryside—from two months ago! It was absolutely the highlight of our one-week trip to Ireland! It was the first time our teenage boys went horse-back riding, and that wasn’t a problem at all. They LOVED it. There’s no better way to experience the beauty of Ireland. Ray and Lisa were fun, knowledgeable, and patient hosts. We enjoyed every aspect of this little adventure and highly recommend adding this to your next Ireland visit. What an experience!!!

Great experience riding trails through beautiful countryside. They accommodate different levels of experience and let you do what you are confortable with.
Very friendly staff very welcoming, nothing was a problem. Super nice setting , caters for all abilities.
Such a fun and great ride. We were happy that it was suitable for experienced riders as well, and the tour guides were amazing at filming and taking lots of pictures to memories the experience.
Enjoyable experience for novice riders.
They looked after my wife who has some minor mobility issues helping her to mount and dismount.

A great experience and as a first time rider we felt very safe and comfortable. There were two girls that worked there that were extremely nice and very informative. There was a man that seemed to be the owner. He was very fun and even helped us plan some excursions afterwards. Overall experience was 10/10
It was amazing experience, extremely well organised. Horses were trained very well and placid even for beginners. Lovely trail great team, even with the rain it was great experience. Cannot say enough. Tried many places before but this one was 100% the best.

My daughter wanted to give a billion stars! We both loved it, but she didn’t want to leave. Ray and Hannah were fantastic! We will probably be back again if my daughter has anything to do with it!
If you’re looking for a horseback riding experience in Ireland that feels personal, welcoming, and genuinely fun, I can’t recommend Wicklow Mountains Horse Trekking enough. Ray Fisher, the owner, led our ride himself and completely made the experience. We arrived about minutes late because we put the wrong location in GPS. We called to let him know and he was very understanding.
Ray has a huge personality — incredibly gregarious, funny, and friendly. Within minutes he had learned everyone’s names and made the whole group feel comfortable. Between the nonstop jokes, storytelling, and colorful Irish commentary, there were moments you wondered whether you were on a horseback ride or sitting in a lively pub with old friends.
Our group consisted of mostly novice riders, and Ray was patient and attentive the entire ride. I’m a very nervous rider, and he gave me extra guidance and reassurance while also playfully teasing me enough to keep me laughing instead of panicking. Somehow he managed to keep an eye on everyone while still making each person feel individually looked after.
The scenery in the Wicklow Mountains was beautiful, but honestly, Ray’s personality is what made this experience unforgettable. We left smiling, laughing, and feeling proud of ourselves. Highly recommend for beginners, nervous riders, and anyone who wants a horseback ride that feels authentic, entertaining, and welcoming.
The guide was very friendly and animated. The horses were well taken care of and beautiful. The scenery was amazing. The guide has been the favorite part of our trip.

Ray was the consummate Irish host with lots of Witty stories. The horses are friendly and well cared for and you can bring them treats.
Lisa made sure that we all made it safely through the water 🐴 😉

Really good experience. Ray is a character and Aimee (I hope I spelled that right) was a great guide and so calm. We were very impressed with the setup as well as the trail. Trekking through the lake was a highlight and we will definitely come back again.
Very fun experience. Lisa and Ray are fantastic hosts and the ride was fun. We rode some trails down to a pretty lake and circled back a different way.
Despite the rain, it was so peaceful and picturesque. Great either solo or with friends. Would do it again!

Absolutely amazing! Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Everyone was very friendly, especially our guide! He was kind and helpful and very informative. He even went as far as making sure we made it to our bus to head home and went above and beyond. We went as a group of three girls and loved it. We would definitely do it again and hope we can return sometime! Just FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend booking with this experience! Words honestly can’t even begin to express how much we enjoyed it and would recommend it

The horses were very cooperative, even in the rain and wind! We had Jack as our guide who was friendly and provided good advice for a safe ride.
Easy to find and great service from the staff. I'm a beginner and they made sure I was comfortable before we set off.
We did have a great ride through a most beautiful area :-) it was an amazing experience for all of us! Ray called us on the phone the evening before our tour to match the horses with our riding abilities and did a perfect job! A big thank you to Ray, Lisa, Nicole and Jack for making it a perfect day for all of us and taking care of everyone and everything! And another big thank you to our four-legged companions for carrying us through the countryside so patiently ;-) All horses were relaxed and very well cared for, also the whole facility was very well kept. So we highly recommend the Hollywood horse and pony trekking - experience!
It was our first time as a family to go horseriding and we all loved it. It's amazing how you can feel riding a horse. Ray the trek leader was funny and entertained us but also put our nerves at ease.
Super fun experience. The views and trails were so nice and felt like real Ireland. If you know how to ride, we got to do a good amount of cantering too. Real great rides, views, and people running it all. Would definitely do it again and recommend it to everyone. Great people out there too, as I even got a ride to a bus stop after, and saved me a lot on a second taxi.
It was a wonderful, beautiful, and fun experience. I would recommend this to anyone who can do it. We all had ridden horses in our childhood, and we didn't have any issues.

Absolutely loved our time. Gorgeous scenery and lovely guides. They were excellent at teaching the beginner rider in our group the ropes and made it fun and easy for all! Could not recommend more. Had the best time, thank you so much!
We had a lovely ride with careful guides and safe horses. The scenery was beautiful. We walked in the lake, cantered and enjoyed a lovely morning trek. I highly recommend this excursion. It would be enjoyed by all.
We had the best morning. Lovely, calm ponies. Ray was such a lovely guide, and as we were experienced riders, were able to go off for a canter/explore away from the group.

This was the first of many tours/activities we did while in Ireland for the first time. It was a great start to a fantastic vacation. Loved this experience. Ray was a great tour guide very instructional for 1st time horse riders and made great conversation. A lot of fun and very nice time.
