First, this app did not work at all on the east portal road. Second, it could not find the starting point for south rim road from visitors center. The strangest thing is once we found the starting point for South rim it worked pretty well. On the return trip it was all screwed up. The owner/coder of this app needs to learn from Shaka Guide

Sandra, I'm sorry to hear about your trouble with the app. Once the app and tour are downloaded and previewed beforehand, you need to launch it at the starting point, and the app will even guide you to the starting point if you're unsure. Don’t waste your money. We had our don who works in IT download the apps tour on our phone so we knew it was done correctly. When we used it at the park all we got was a listing of the pull out points listed on the National Park map, no audio plus asking us to check availability of the tour. This was a huge disappointment.

For the tour to function correctly, you need to download the app with a good network connection and set it up using the unique password sent to you via email. Detailed instructions and a tutorial video were also provided. The tour is designed to start automatically when you reach the starting point and works offline.
