John Tan, our guide, was so enthusiastic about Singapore, imparting lots of knowledge about the history of Chinatown, particularly with regards to the development of the focal food industry and the Hawker Centres. The food we tasted was authentic and very delicious, and we really enjoyed the whole experience - thanks John!!!
This was a very personalised tour, with just the guide and my wife and myself. As well as explaining the food culture the walk around the markets also shed light on the cultural groups that make up the Singapore population. It was more than just a food tour and because it was so interesting the 3 hours went very quickly.
Very knowledgeable tour guide He was punctual and adaptable too. Great experience very enjoyable Highly recommend

William was awesome! In addition to taking us to a coffee shop and hawker center where only locals go (for a true Singaporean experience) he also provided us with a tremendous amount of history and context for the food we were eating. We learned so much about the local customs and way of life in Singapore. It was overall a great experience and, of course, we left being stuffed from all the food. He was also very accommodating of our desire to see the Marina shows in the evening and went out of his way to make sure we were there on time.

Justin gave us a great tour. I’m really glad that I went! I tried so many different foods that I probably would not have tried on my own. And in between he shared Singapore history. I highly recommend this tour!

My guide Ron did a great job of showing me Chinatown, specifically the murals i liked. Sunday mornings arent the best time for food tours as most stalls arent open yet but he did awesome at finding foods to try.

Awesome experience. Raymond T was excellent and explained the origins of each dish , loved the fried Carrot cake (not really a cake at all). Great history of Chinatown and good recommendations of places to visit.

This is a must do tour. Justin was in incredible. I very much enjoyed the food but also enjoyed Justin. So knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. I walked away with a full belly and a new found friend!

1: please make sure u do this tour at the beginning of your trip to Singapore.... makes everything so much richer.

Gene was an excellent guide and gave our family a fantastic introduction to Singapore. The food tour was authentic and thoughtfully adapted to our interests, making it feel very personalized.
He was incredibly knowledgeable, shared fascinating insights about Singapore's food and culture, and offered great recommendations for the rest of our trip. He even took the time to explain how to use the MRT, which made exploring the city much easier afterward.

Awesome food and in places we would not normally explore.
Had a great guide (William) who gave us an indepth historical account of the various districts we went though and an explanation of the food we were eating. Plenty of food to eat and a really good variety.
William was committed to giving us an authentic experience.

The food tour was amazing! Kristine, our guide, knew a ton about the food and culture of Singapore and was able to answer all questions we threw at her. It was a great experience overall and we loved all the food; 10/10 would definitely recommend it to others

Kristine was friendly informative and funny and had so much insight into each of the foods that were provided. She tailored the food and information to my tastes and made my stopover in Singapore very pleasant and a good use of time on my way home from Europe. Would recommend to anyone visiting Singapore, especially if you haven’t yet visited the hawker centres or aren’t sure what to order from where

We had an absolutely amazing experience with William on our food tour! Since it was a private tour we went to a very local ‘cafe’ and hawker center and was able to explain the country’s history, culture and way of life for Singaporeans. William would find us a seat by the busy food stalls and round up plates from a few vendors and then we’d talk about the cultural significance of them and different flavors. We tried so many dishes and learned how to order them on our own. William was so easy to talk to and ask questions. He even was able to alter our tour to make sure we made it to the Supertree nighttime show. He is clearly an expert guide and the flow of the evening went smoothly. Would 1000% recommend

My friend and I were wondering how to give ZERO stars - it was that bad. Our guide Raymond met us at the MRT and we walked a block a way to a food market. He sat us at a dirty table (didn't clean it) and then left to go get us food. He brought us ~7 dishes -- none of them good. He told us nothing about Singapore culture or food and that was it.
We told him that the chicken and katzu was cold. His reply "if you want it warm, you have to come at 7am not at 5pm". The food was awful - no flavor. Who messes up Beef Chow Fun with old hard small beef and a mixture of spaghetti noodles in with the standard wide rice noodles. So we spent together $120 for about $30 of really bad food. Life is too short to eat bad food in Singapore!!!
It was so bad that I looked up my booking on my Viator app thinking that maybe I booked the wrong tour. Nope, this one had tons of great reviews. Well, they didn't have Raymond Teo and sit at 1 dirty table to be served bland, cold food.
Definitely the worst food tour that I have ever done. I did this tour a year ago and loved it. We walked through the area in Chinatown and learned so much. We stopped at 5 or 6 places including a Michelin rated Hawker stall. Not sure what when wrong here but DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

William was an excellent tour guide. Not only did he give us some of the history of Singapore, he led us to the museum where we able to see the future of Singapore. We dined on several dishes in the Hawker and he gave us complete background of each dish. It was more than enough to eat. Great tour. I would book with him again.

First off our tour guide, Cathy, was a great guide. We had one initial food stop with lots of food…too much for us to eat….lol! She explained some of the history of the Chinatown and showed us a Buddha temple. Then we had coffee and a dessert. The rest of my comments are for the tour company owners. After getting off of a S/E Asia cruise the last thing we wanted to see was another Buddha or temple. If this is a street food tour, keep it at that and have several stops on different parts of the area with small bites along the way, and not a large potion at the beginning.

This experience lives up to its title - very authentic and local! William was a fantastic guide. He took us to a local restaurant for chicken rice, a kopitiam (small hawker center), and a non-touristy hawker center. We tried several dishes that were tasty, interesting, and generous portions. William did a great job of explaining each dish, its history and significance. He also shared a great deal about Singapore and welcomed questions - all of which he answered very knowledgeably! All in all, a truly memorable experience!
