It was our first time in Madurai/Rameshwaram. The guide was helpful. We enjoyed our trip. Despite some initial coordination issues as the temple was closed on the day we booked this trip, we would recommend them as they worked with us to reschedule to another date.

Great experience overall. The only issue we had was receiving a smaller car when we had booked a larger one. The guide was very helpful.

really proffessional driver which lets you discover other sites except of the reknown Rameswaram temple. We visited an abandoned village and saw the coast of Sri Lanka. We went also to another island and visited another temple,which was also an experience.

The tour was very well organised. The driver was polite, patient and was capable to show around the places. I was travelling with senior citizen, the driver was considerate about the same and took care of us well. Experience of lunch at a small local eatery in Dhanushkodi was a hit (my personal favourite).
Overall, the trip was very comfortable and recomendable.

This was the worst guided tour experience for me ever. And I have been on a few.
We initially booked two cars for 3 people each (me, my husband and both our parents) as online booking allowed for a car with max 5 people only. However, the agency contacted us later and said they would be able to accommodate all 6 in a bigger car. They charged the price for 2 cars though. We had already paid so fine, were willing to just go with it.
We were ready to go at 9 AM as requested by the driver/guide and were picked up on time. However, things only went downhill after this. They driver did not speak English or Hindi at all. He basically just ignored our queries throughout the day. There was no communication from him whatsoever.
The worst part, we did not get to cover all the destinations mentioned in the itinerary despite starting on time. The driver took us to the temple first and after that and having lunch, took us to Dhanushkodi. When we asked what about the APJ Abdul Kalam Museum, no response. We assumed we would go there afterwords. We spent some time at Dhanushkodi in peak heat. Then we headed towards the museum. The driver dropped us at the gate at 5:05 PM and just headed to park. On reaching the ticket window, we got to know that the museum closed at 5 PM. When we came back to the car and told him again there was nothing but a shrug and a grunt. As a guide, he should have known this and should have taken us to the museum first and then to Dhanushkodi. We were just done at this point. We just asked him to take us back to our hotel. We paid for his breakfast and lunch and he tried to stop for dinner at 6 PM itself.
The sole reason we booked a guided tour was because we thought being unfamiliar with the area and languages, a guided tour with someone speaking Hindi/English will help. However, we would have been much better off with just taking a rental car and driving ourselves to these places.

The tour turned out to be worse for us. First of all, we converted our 2 car for 6 people (3 each) to one car for 6 and they did not reduce the cost.
But the main disappointment was the tour itself. Our guide/driver did not speak Hindi or English which was specifically mentioned in the tour description and was why we booked it in the first place. There was no communication whatsoever. He was barely responding to our questions and just kept ignoring us mostly.
And on top of that, we did not get to cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary. We were ready and started our trip at 9 am as requested by agency. But the driver took us to Rameshwaram temple and Dhanushkodi first. Because of this, by the time we came back from Dhanushkodi, the APJ Abdul Kalam museum was already closed. The driver just stopped us at the museum gate around 5:05 PM and when we came back and told that the museum closed at 5, did not give any reaction at all. As a curated tour, expectation is he should have been aware of that and should have taken us to the muse before we went to Dhanushkodi, which is open till late anyways. That way we would have been able to enjoy the sunset at Dhanushkodi and visited the museum as well instead of missing the later all together and visiting the former while Sun was overhead. Worst curated tour ever. Would recommend taking a rental car and going by yourself. Had we known that the guide service was going to be so disappointing we would have just planned it ourselves and rented a car.
