Our pirates of the Caribbean excursion was truly unforgettable.. Our guide "Chef" was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Everything was well-paced, giving my family time to relax and take it all in. I highly recommend this excursion—it’s a perfect way to experience the beauty of the island.

Learnt a lot about St Vincent and The Grenadines, it's sustainability, the fruits and vegetation on the island, it's people. We love St Vincent and the Grenadines and our guide assisted us in falling deeper in love with it. To you it off we visited Wallilabou Landing, where some parts of Pirates on the Carribean, The Black Pearl, were filmed. Truly beautiful island.

What an amazing tour. Wayne was polite and friendly on WhatsApp, making sure I had all the details I needed to join the tour. Deano was our driver and he was fantastic, as I was sat in the front I couldn’t always hear our guide, so he kept me informed. I didn’t catch our guides name, but she said “You can call me Sexy Lexi”. She too was amazing and so informative. My mum also loved it too. Definitely one to do if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, and Topdawg Tours certainly make sure you have the best time.

This tour with Top Dawg was a great introduction to St Vincent and The Grenadines. Communication prior to the tour was also professional and detailed, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. My guide Weena was so enthusiastic about showing us her country, and our driver Dino provided us with safe and comfortable transportation. The Pirates of the Caribbean site is worth visiting if you’re an enthusiast, but just bear in mind it’s not been maintained overly well since the movie was produced. It was still worth seeing, but just set your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this tour with Top Dawg for those with limited time on the island and for Pirates of the Caribbean enthusiasts.

"Topdawg" was an excellent driver. The roads are steep and winding, but we always felt safe. He even had time to dish out advice about horn use. The fort visit was educational. Not a lot to see at the Pirates site ($2 charge), but fun to play in the coffins. The waterfall stop was our highlight. We also stopped at a beach and learnt about whale catching!

Very good experience. Knowledgeable guide with gosh. Was our first Viator trip and we had some concerns but everything was very professional. Very good, thanks

Fort Charlotte visit was informative. The Pirates of Caribbean movie set is the highlight of the tour. The Heritage Park visit was so-so

Guides very knowledgeable and friendly. We were collected and delivered back on time and thought the whole thing was good value for money

I really enjoyed this tour and our friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming tour guide.
Seeing the filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean was fun. We were the only tourists there at the time so we got to take a lot of fun photos. While there is not much to do there, the atmosphere is good and the black sand beach is the perfect backdrop for an impromptu pirate photo shoot.
I do appreciate the flexibility of our tour guide who allows us to opt for the botanical gardens instead of the beach.

We had an amazing day and met a lovely couple who shared the same tour . Kevin our driver was great and very informative. Absolutely loved it

Wayne, from Topdawg Taxi and Tours, picked us up at Sandals and have us a very unique history of towns. The stops at Pirates of the Caribbean was fantastic!! Next up was Dark View Falls and he walked us up to both falls and gave us history of falls. I could go on, but it was great and we are so glad we got Wayne👍😁

Very good tour
Funny tour guide .
The beach stop could be skipped.
We just had a trink at the beach bar.
Dawn_E, Apr 2025
Long day. Beautiful scenery but could have been mentioned we were not going to certain places and going elsewhere. Beach visit was a waste if time too.
Karen_O, Mar 2025
This was a phenomenal tour lead by Kevin. He was an amazing driver on roads that were very narrow and hilly. His knowledge, professionalism, kindness, humor and willingness to make this a memorable experience for all was so much appreciated. The tour was fun and filled with a lot of conversation about the island and the people. Well done Kevin. Thank you for a memorable day.

The tour was super fun. Visiting the movie set was interesting and the waterfall was beautiful. Chefrine did an excellent job of giving an island overview.
Philip_S, Jan 2025
Brilliant guide Kevin a good insight to the island and a good beach stop at the end with bar and restaurant facilities enjoyed it

Very professional guide who explained very clearly a lot of the culture and the life of the people in St Vincent and the Grenadines. We covered everything that was in our program (except Fort Charlotte which was closed) and saw magnificent views, the volcano Soufrière and Dark View Falls. I can definitely recommend this excursion!

A great 5 hours exploring the sites and a beach stop. Driver did great on the winding roads up and down. The tour guide was very informative telling us all about the history and answering questions. A lovely rum punch as well.
Also an easy pick up from right outside the cruise terminal,
Highly recommended

This tour has potential but was not a good experience for us. Fort Charlotte was closed for maintenance so we didn’t have the benefit of going inside. Pirates of the Caribbean had some good things but overall the area is not well maintained. Next, they took us to a waterfall which was the least impressive waterfall I’ve ever been to. They then took us to a beach with the dirtiest water I’ve ever seen. Come on! You guys can do better than that.

There was no organization, we were put in 3 different vehicles before it was decided what vehicle we should be in. Topdawg also had no record of our reservation. We were finally put in an over-crowded bus.
It took approximately 2 hours to get to the Port Royal Experience which was not what anyone expected. Buildings of miscellaneous telephones, tv. There were very weathered coffins you could stand in for a picture and a possibility 12 foot or more skeleton for pictures.
We stopped at a black-sand beach for some swimming and tables to order yourself something to drink.
The weather was extremely hot and humid.
Bus should have had a microphone so all could here what was being said.
Erik_S, Feb 2024
Too many people everywhere. All buses went to the same places at the same time.
Nothing was told about the various places to be visited or about the history of the country etc.
The bus was overcrowded and there was no air conditioning or power socket as promised.
The driver drove like he was on a trip with his friends.
Angie_N, Feb 2024
It was an ok trip. Minibus of 15, with plastic covers on the seats! Guide had to be asked to turn air con on as at times it was like an oven, especially for those at the back.
Pirates of the Caribbean aspect was very disappointing, not the experience we expected. Botanical gardens also a bit underwhelming and Angel Beach to finish the tour, again we thought there'd be a lovely beach with different bars to sit at and watch the world go by. One bar only which was taken over by the construction workers from the site nearby, and the various tour guides. Had to hang around for around 50 minutes to find a seat when some others left. Maybe ok if you want to go on the beach or swim but we didn't.

Norris was an excellent tour guide. Only reason I rated this tour as 4 not 5 star was unfortunately the majority of the other tour participants were not interested in listening to the interesting information that Norris had to say and confinued their conversations in loud voices. This became progressively worse with the more beer that they drank. At our last stop at the beach they ignored the time we were supposed to be back at the bus. Norris had to go looking for them. A frustrating situation for the participants like us who had to wait for 25 minutes for the others to show up, rather selfish of them.
Vincent_D, Mar 2023
Driver/guide good. Pirates of the Caribbean site is tourist trappy. Other stops average for the islands.
Dominika_M, Feb 2023
Nice tour with a nice guide. We were 4 guests in total. The fort had an amazing view.
We recommend this trip to anyone.
Dennis_B, Mar 2020
Comprehensive tour of many sites on island away from capital including Pirates cove fort and time on the beach - very enjoyable and good guide. The 9 am booking was held until 10 when ship docked late - very satisfied and can recommend this good value tour.
STEVE_D, Mar 2020
Our guides, Wayne and Shakeira were lovely, we were given lots of information about the island through the trip and the sites we visited were beautiful and interesting. Highly recommend this tour with Top Dawg! Thanks again guys!
Susan_D, Mar 2020
Overall, the tour was disappointing. The fort was interesting structure. The Pirates package focused on a beach where some portions of the Johnny Depp movie was filmed. But no narration to connect scene with story. Rocky Beach was closed hotel with no maintenance in 5 years, $1 fee for room to change into suit, $5 fee for chair which broke when I sat in it (I am not obese), $8 for promised rum punch which I not buy.
John_B, Dec 2019
Our ship changed schedule at the last minute and arrived 1 hour after the tour should have started. We were pleased that Topdawg Tours waited for us and others on the ship. The driver we had was more a taxi driver than a tour guide and provided minimal information leaving us to our own devices. Vehicle was cramped with 7 people.
Response from Host, Dec 2019
Thanks for the review.
We are sorry that you felt cramped, but the vehicle is registered by the tourism authority to carry 7 passengers. Toyota Noah is widely used around St Vincent for tours.
All our drivers are properly trained to deliver these tours by the Tourism Authority . I will definitely look into the situation further
Kind regards
Wayne
