This tour is not currently running. Only one gorge is open. This tour is supposed to run for 3 & 1/2 hours. It will be reduced to 2 & 1/2, with a small refund of $40. The cruise actually only went for 2 hours.
The food was amazing, and there is lots of potential that this could be great. If you are thinking of doing this, make sure it is operating.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your feedback, Timothy.
We appreciate your understanding regarding the seasonal river conditions. During this time of year, tour operations can be affected by water levels, and while we always aim to provide the full experience, adjustments are sometimes necessary for safety reasons.
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the food and could see the potential of the experience. Thank you for recommending that future guests check current tour operations before booking, and we hope to welcome you back to experience the full tour in the future.

I’ve done this experience twice, as well as a number of the other gorge tours. This is certainly the most enjoyable - dinner as the sunsets is magical.
The tour guide was great and the views did not disappoint. We had the steak for dinner, which was excellent, but did not enjoy the other courses as much. Dessert was a disappointment, served on a communal plate, and most people didn’t eat it (though last time we had the most amazing chocolate cake).
The food aside, this tour was extraordinary

OMG, what a fantastic sunset and dinner experience. Highly recommend it. The dinner was out of this world.
Do your research on where to park and where to meet. It is not obvious and very confusing.

Unexpected joy in the NT outback !
Great food and tour ! The information was good quality and some quiet time to just enjoy the gorgeous gorge. I have already told friends to do it!

Great boat trip through two of the gorges in the Nitmiluk National Park. The descriptions by the driver of the boat were very informative and the food served for the subset meal was excellent.

This tour is a must do if you are able to. Cruising up the gorges and the short walks to change boats, then the most amazing dining experience. We feel so lucky to have done this cruise.

The stunning views listening about the culture and the beautiful food and service by the friendly staff

My husband and I took this tour an hour after arriving in Katherine. If this was the only thing we did in the area, it would have been worth the trip. The gorge is even more stunning than pictures can capture, and seeing it from the boat is the best way to experience it. We loved going at sunset to see the light change on the rocks. The second gorge is like nothing else, and learning about the area from our guide enhanced an already magical experience.
We already felt like we had gotten our money's worth prior to dinner, and then we were really blown away. There were multiple courses of flavourful, wonderfully prepared food. All courses were incredible and many things offered were local to the area. Service was impeccable and we can't speak highly enough of the entire team. The French chef is incredible and we didn't want the trip to end.
Bring a light with you to get back to the carpark in the dark at the end of the night. Otherwise, enjoy!

We all had a wonderful time. We were in awe of the magical gorge and Its beauty, a must to experience .

From start to finish the experience was fantastic, the scenery, the hosts and the food were 10 out of 10. The dinner prepared with TLC by Marco (croc, kanga and Fillet steak etc) was flawless to the extent we were full and could eat no more, we even had to desert the dessert and for Ange that is unheard of. It was spread out over the night so there was no rush and Thomas looked after us impeccably by keeping us refreshed.
Angus was the perfect captain telling us how over many many years all about the river system the escarpment the weather and how the indigenous owners of the land have looked after it, he was always ready to answer any curious questions put to him.
An absolute must.

The Cruise was incredible, the stories and information given along the way was interesting and entertaining.
Then to dinner, wow!!! the service was incredible, and the meal was something I will remember for a long time. I am considering going again this weekend before I leave town!

Every single second was memorable! The tour guide was wonderful, the hospitality staff were so helpful and happy and the food was truly breathtaking to match the experience.
Anne_L, Aug 2024
Touring the Gorge at sunset was spectacular, the colours off the rocks was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. To then finish with a restaurant quality meal was amazing. It’s definitely a must do!
Kevin_T, Aug 2024
The dinner was excellent in presentation and tastes of the Australian bush tucker. The only complaint I had was when we returned to the jetty,it was not lit up to see where you were going.A few LED solar path lights would have made the walk more safer and uniquely inhanced. Other than that it was an experience one should never miss!
chris_w, Aug 2024
This is really 3 tours. You start with a boat trip up the gorge with a guide telling you all about which was great. Then you get out of that boat and walk for a while and get into another smaller boat to continue the tour. Then you return and walk and get onto the dinner boat. The food was plentiful and good quality.

Well what a great little cruise apart from the amazing landscape of the gorges , the cruise was very professional and informative about the history , geology and general knowledge of the area
The food first class you would think you were dining at a world class restaurant
A world class level serving what l thought ,the local produce at its best 👌 and staff immaculate presentation of the food and beverages of the area at its best
Thank you all who made it happen it was worth every dollar not only the quantity of the 3 course meals but the smiles on everyone's faces 😃

The gorge was gorgouse and the dinner at the end, on sunset, was wonderful. The food was delish, the drinks were plentiful and the configuration of the tables was great. I have been on this dinner cruise twice now and will continue to highly recomend this to all friends and family who visit the NT. I live here now and can't wait to get back on the dinner cruise. Thank you for having us. My mum from Melbourne had a wonderful time and my partner, who lives here in Darwin, hasn't been on this cruise before.

Loved it was so incredibly beautiful to see the gorge. Dinner was so great too..
The staff are friendly and Informative- I want to go back.
Margaret_S, Jul 2024
I was very disappointed that the family who booked separately could not share a table together.
Unfortunately, that is the thing that comes to mind first when I recall the evening otherwise a spectacular amazing experience. It would be useful if you indicated on your booking that people who were a group need to book together.
Malcolm_P, Jul 2024
Lovely Cruise. Dinner and views were great. The description of the package was a bit lacking in detail regarding where to park/meet, and wasn't expecting to have to walk so far.
