The Rock Lobster Pot Pull Tour was a really nice experience. It was a bit shorter than we expected, but still very enjoyable. The crew was friendly and explained the process clearly, which made it interesting to see how the pots are pulled and how the lobsters are handled. A simple, authentic experience if you’re in Kalbarri and want to try something different.

The activity was cancelled as not enough numbers. Aydan kept me informed in the prior 2 days that this was likely which was good. Did the whale watching tour instead.

Don’t take bananas on board 😬 bad luck. First time experience. The captain was very informative, giving information throughout the trip. Passengers got to share the catch and given instructions on how to cook them.

We had a beautiful sunrise travelling out to the pots, saw sharks close up, learnt about crayfish potting and saw whales along the way. To top it off we took home 4 crayfish. They were delicious. The guys running the tour provided lots of info about crayfishing.

It was wonderful to see so much marine life in its natural environment.
However, smoking should be prohibited on board the boat!!!
