Our English speaking guide Keijiro was excellent. He explained the history of the island and showed us the beauty of Yaku sugi cedar trees that were thousands of years old. He was patient with us as we ascended and descend the trek, and stopped to enjoy the beauty of nature along the way. The path was fairly strenous and you need to be in good shape to enjoy it.
