The Mossy forest walk has...

Lisa_G, Mar 2026
The Mossy forest walk has been closed since October 25 , so was substituted with the coral hill trek due to landslides. The website should reflect this. This is not a gentle stroll and involved quite a bit of climbing and holding on to roots and ropes. Moderate fitness is required. Overall, a good overview of the area.

Fun excursion with knowledgeable guide

Ilaria_C, Sep 2025
The experience was exactly as described, our driver and guide Tamil was so lovely, he involved us in the route planning, taking into consideration the weather and making us decide when to have lunch. In the mossy forest he explained a lot of interesting facts about the area, plants and animals and responded to all of our questions knowledgeably. I was also lucky with a lovely group of people so really loved the experience, would definitely recommend it especially if you don’t have a long time in Cameron Highlands to see all the highlights in one day.

Mossy Forest Visit

Francine_L, Apr 2025
First of, the guide Raju was very knowledgeable, professional and engaging, who interacted with the entire group. The oral history provided was a learning experience. The boardwalk provided both a scenic backdrop and forest protection, which was appreciated.

Unfortunately not as positive as hoped

Patrick_S, Jul 2026
The positive: Mossy Forest and the tea plantations are super interesting, and the guide provides great information about them. He was dedicated all day to achieving the best for his group. Now unfortunately the negative: We were ten (!) in a Land Rover. Absolutely unsafe… The few seat belts that were available were partially secured with cable ties… Strawberry farm, orchid and rose garden, as well as the lunch break at catastrophic restaurants are pure tourist rip-offs.

Highly recommended!

A day's tour is definitely the best option! Then you can experience everything at your leisure. We had a very nice good English speaking guide “Ben” as a guide.
