Our tour guide was very informative and professional. He explained and showed us everything. The sceneries were wonderful. I advise everyone to take this tour.
Our driver was super nice. He gave us a very nice trip and even stopped to buy us some Qurutob. Highly recommended!
We had an experienced driver who also told us history of Tajikistan and the area we were driving to. It is a long drive (almost 3 hours) and then a short visit to take photos before driving back. No lunch stop and the only bathroom stop was when we arrived at the lake to take some photos. There was no opportunity to hike.
If you are looking for a trip to see an area with the mountains and other villages it is a good day.
It's a long and beautiful drive and the lake is beautiful as well. We were not aware we had to pay for our guide's meal as well after already being charged so much!

We also understand that prices at tourist locations can be unexpectedly high — something we should have better informed you about in advance. Loved the place with scenic views. Guide and driver were helpful in sharing the history and cultural insights. However, do remember to get some Somoni as the lunch venue does not accept credit cards.

Takes between 2 hrs and 45 mnts to 3 hrs drive (one way) but totally worth it! Stunning views on the way and you will enjoy your time away from the city for few hrs. The hike to the waterfall is easy and takes total of 40 mnts.
This experience was absolutely incredible it was perfectly planned and even better executed I could do it all over again. Bobo was a fantastic guide and a safe and efficient driver....he advised that we go a day earlier than planned to avoid the rain that was set to happen in the following two days....the journey to Iskanderkul was half the fun with beautiful mountains and canyons and glaciers on the way....Bobo was so knowledgeable he pointed out so many cool details.... Iskanderkul was so stunning is a pearl of the Tajik mountains....so peaceful with a mirror reflection of the mountains after a lovely home cooked lunch we headed back to the city stopping to take some great photos of the mountains and to try the mountain rhubarb that they were selling along the road it was a happy day in my life...
My guide Bobo came on time to pick me up. He was friendly, spoke clear English, and stopped at all the photo stops on the way. He drove very safe even though there was snow in the mountains. Drive to the lake was very beautiful, going through the snow covered mountains. Because of off-season there was no one at the lake, I was the only visitor there. It was so serene and beautiful to see the lake and the mountains with snow all around. I definitely recommend doing this tour.

We had a wonderful tour to Iskandarkul-Lake! Bobojon was a very capable driver and kind tour guide. He gave us any time we needed and showed us even some extra spots. His tour was really a pleasant experience, we can only recommend him and his tour.

It was a day I was satisfied with the wonderful mountain scenery under the fine weather. Although it was a distance from Dushanbe, I was able to enjoy the journey without getting bored because I could enjoy the scenery along the way. However, the road has many curves and the end has rough terrain, so caution is necessary.
