Hiring the bikes was super easy, choices of bike & great information given prior to the ride. The scenery was amazing & the ride easy. Thoroughly recommend, way easier than taking our 🚐 along the road!

We were a little nervous, with both the narrow lanes and that we don't ride bicycles often. But not to worry! We were given a thorough briefing, covering both the route and the functionality of the bicycle. The microphone on the helmet was great to have. The bicycles worked as they should and made pedaling simple. The business has stopped using the app, because of issues already noted, and instead focuses on giving a marked map with suggestions and information. We had a great time, and would totally do this ride again.

This truly is a must do activity! It was one of our favorite things we did in Ireland. The helmets with walkie talkies were a huge help and allowed us to talk with each other easily the whole time. The ride itself was long, but not very strenuous and the e-bikes helped a lot. The views were spectacular and we stopped at a pub about halfway through that was not only a fun spot, but had incredible views. We loved being able to spot when we wanted and explore - there is lots around the route! Just as a note - you are riding on the road but they give you a reflective harness to wear and there were plenty of spots to pull off to let cars pass. There was also a place for the bike to hold your phone. We had Google maps pulled up the whole time and just followed the Slea Head Drive the whole way. Overall, if you like an adventurous and active excursion, you can’t miss with this one! Highly recommend!

Biking is the best way to get around Slea Head. Beautiful scenery. Nice roads. Great e-bikes. Orlah was great!

I had a great time e-biking the Dingle Peninsula! It was nice to be able to go at my own pace (stop whenever I want for as long as I want) and to be outside. The route is quite simple which was very helpful (basically Slea Head Drive?). However, unfortunately, the tour audio that’s supposed to be built into the helmet didn’t work so I didn’t actually learn any history or know what I was looking at beyond pretty things, which was a huge disappointment. Also, I’d say this is more like a 3/4 day activity not a 1/2 day activity - it took me 4 hours and I was really flying at the end because I needed to get back to catch a bus! So please allot for sure more than 2-3 hours and also bring snacks.

Maud was great giving us the proper instructions on the bike and how to navigate dingle bay and surrounding area

A great way to see the scenic cliffs! We were on a Cruise Ship, and the pickup point is a short walk from where the tender boats drop off. The E-Bike made the journey very doable. Intercom in the helmet was great to talk back and forth between your group. The commentary was not working along the way for some reason. The town is very quaint. The bikes made it possible to see a lot more of the area than would otherwise be possible.

This is a must do!! Driving it is not the same. Felt completely safe on the road. WeWheels was amazing with information and tips that really made the day! Pictures can never do this justice. It is an experience, not just a ride!!
Courtney_R, Aug 2025
It is fun, but weather can affect the views. E-bikes make it very doable. Wear bike shorts for comfort and pack rain gear.
Anna_C, Jul 2025
This is the BEST way to do the Slea Head Drive. The bikes are great. The road is easy. Don’t pass this up.

Make sure you call several weeks ahead to confirm reservations as our tour was cancelled the day before after cancellation period. No refund has been given. They had overbooked.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your feedback, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the last-minute cancellation. We understand how frustrating it must have been at short notice.
Unfortunately, due to an unexpected overbooking issue, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel your tour — something we work hard to avoid. Please note that a full refund has already been processed, and we hope this helps to make up in part for the disruption.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will be taking steps to prevent similar situations in the future.

It’s self guided and on the roads. It was breathtaking and an amazing adventure! I would say it’s an adventure to try.

Dingle Peninsula on E bike with wife and another couple. This was one of my favorites, as you are out there on your own right in the middle of everything. Spectacular views and interesting stops. Riding the road on the narrow road takes getting used to, but cars go pretty slow on this trip. We were out about 4 hours and would have done the trip again if we had stayed in Dingle longer.

Awesome experience even with rainy and windy weather. Our host gave us a great rundown of everything we could see along the route. There is so much to enjoy from the spectacular views to the beehive huts, to pubs along the way. Definitely recommend if you have a couple of days in Dingle.

Amazing experience exploring the beautiful Slea Head drive on elective bikes. Elective assist makes hills easy. Breathtaking vistas, and stops for petting farm animals and having lunch.
Erika_A, May 2025
The biking and views were amazing. The e-bikes were not the best we’ve used and the digital self-guided tour did not work. Have requested a script of the tour with no responses yet

The woman working the day of our reservation was lovely and helpful. We were notified early in the day that some bikes needed maintenance and were offered refund or coordinating bikes from another local shop. We really appreciate that they didn’t send us out in broken e-bikes.
Carol_D, Apr 2025
The bike ride was beautiful. You do bike on the ride with traffic, parts of the road only allows one vehicle at a time through so if you have not ridden a bike in traffic this is not for you. The bikes were great. The app that guides you was great at the beginning but ran both our iPhone batteries down about halfway through.(we both have new iPhones and our batteries were almost 100%) The guide talked about what you were seeing, it would have been nice to hear that all the way through the ride. The woman setting up the bikes was wonderful . Overall a very nice experience.

This was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Ireland. If someone would have told me that I would have biked 35 miles and 5 hours … and that my back wouldn’t hurt and anything else … I would have laughed. But it’s true! And it’s the only way to see the Dingle Peninsula. We stopped at everything we wanted to see, had no trouble with cars on the road. The bikes worked fabulous. And the company so flexible. I’m 53 and my husband 52. And we took our teenager on the trip … all of us came away wishing we had more time! Not enough great things to say. Wish we would have done it for part of the Ring of Kerry as well!

First time riding an electric bike, and I can now say that they are an awesome piece of technology! The very helpful staff walked us through how to use the bikes. I recommend this tour!
Beth_C, Oct 2024
The weather was cloudy and misty for most of our ride but the sights seen were absolutely breathtaking. Electric bikes were an absolute must but if two 60 year olds who haven’t been on anything beyond beach bikes could do this, you can too. Don't forget your camera!!

We could not have been more delighted with our WeWheel e-bike experience in Dingle. Check-in to check-out was smooth and very well organized. The audio guide was very good, sometimes hard to hear in the wind. The bikes were immaculate and were so easy to ride. Makes a 26 mile ride a breeze! We took about 4 hours to ride the loop which included a lunch stop and lots of pull overs to see the amazing views.
Linda_B, Oct 2024
We absolutely loved our ebike self guided tour around the Dingle Penisula. This trip is a must if you want an up close experience. We say breathtaking views. We stopped at a little van selling fresh crab claws that were the best I have ever had. this was a 4 hour tour, but we could have used 6 hours.
Mary_H, Sep 2024
I would not recommend this local operator. They would not refund us despite pelting rain and strong winds which prohibited our ability to take the self guided tour. The weather forecast said it would be clear but it was a storm.
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all reviews seriously and are committed to providing the best service to our customers.
Unfortunately, as stated on our website we do not cancel our tours due to rain and wind, as long as the conditions are still safe. I have looked into the date of your experience and although it was raining here in Dingle, tours were still operational on the day of your experience and the environment was still safe to operate the tour.
Unfortunately, when we tried to contact you ahead of time to offer a change of time or day for your experience, we could not get through to you.

There are too many to name; there was an incredibly beautiful sight in front of us nearly the entire ride. GREAT way to really soak in the landscape.
Gideon_B, Sep 2024
I didn’t realize it was a self-guided tour. I was the only one signed up and didn’t feel safe to do trip alone so I bailed. The gal who helped me was amazing though and recommended other nature activities to do.

This experience is an absolute must if you are near Dingle! We had the best time. Very memorable! We stopped at a “fairy farm” where we could feed Donkeys, Horses, sheep and Lamas. We stopped at the most pretty cafe on the coast and stoped for cake and tea. We also stopped to look at 12th century stone huts. The route was well explained. You download an app that you guided you and you can hear historical information through your helmet as you ride or use your helmets as walkie talkies. I just love this! Took us around 4 1/2 hours and we stopped ast everything we wanted to see. The bikes are great quality and had heaps of battery left! Thank you guys! Unforgettable!

Too much car traffic on a Sunday. The strong westerly wind made biking more difficult. Also, the seat kept going lower regardless of my efforts to keep it at the right position
Daniel_C, Aug 2024
Pretty bad experience. The bikes were very clearly not maintained well. The chains were covered in rust and desperately needed lubrication. The e-bike battery stopped working in about 30 min of the ride. Had to turn around to go back to the town and was separated from our group. Asked for a refund given the poor experience with the electrical issues and major inconvenience of being separated by 30+ minutes from our group. Refund was denied. Pretty big waste of money on a poor experience and even worse customer service. 0/10 do not recommend

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We take all reviews seriously and are committed to providing the best service to our customers.
I am very sorry to hear you experienced a mechanical issue with your bike on the day, which ended your experience. I have spoken to the local team and I understand they did offer you a replacement bike so you could go back out with your travelling party on the day.
However what I would like to do is to provide yourself a refund on this experience. If you could please contact me via email me on alex.clements@wewheel.com I hope I will be able to resolve your experience with us.
