Viewing the rock art is amazing but make sure you have solid hiking boots for the rock trails as the descent can be slippery with fine powdery sand on top of uneven rocks. Check you have good tread with ground grip on your soles. Also, have some disinfectant body gel for cuts and abrasions - the tour leader did not have any first aid items because as we know nothing goes untoward in the territory!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks Ian for taking the time to place a review.
From memory the shoes you were wearing were fine for the experience.
And for your information that blue back pack that I lugged over the hill has two first aid kits in it, one general kit and one snake bite kit, plus a larger more comprehensive kit in the vehicle. I observed you cleaning your small scrape with a cloth provided and assumed you were fine with that, if not an approach at the time might have seen that savlon applied!
And yes all is hunky-dory in the NT!

We had an incredible day!! It was a privilege to listen to Sebastian’s stories of his country and culture while looking at the expansive display of rock art. It was very moving. We really appreciated his generosity and open ness to answering questions. We loved spending time at Injalak Arts Centre too. The tour was well organised and well catered. It was a special day for us.

Fantastic access to rock art and the indigenous perspective from the locals. It is a long day from Darwin - several passengers joined us in Jabiru knocking 4 hours or so off their round trip.

Gammak Andree,
I hope your trip to the Territory was all 5 star!

Amazing rock art and opportunity to talk to and learn from traditional owners. Learn that in this environment nothing is certain, the " bush" is raw and beautiful. Stay hydrated and ladies.. take a " she wee"
Response from Host, Jun 2022
Gammak Wendy,
You're a legend, thank you for passing on this vital advice to all future customers. Staying Hydrated is so important in the Aussie bush.

Tim and Sam provided a unique experience introducing our small group to Arnhem Land and sharing their knowledge of the land, customs and people.
As some sites were unavailable due to the Sorry Business of a funeral of a respected Elder, the local indigenous guides were unable to show us their special country and sites, although one guide, Gleason, dropped by to say hello.
It is evident that Tim and Sam are well respected in the community and have a depth of knowledge and care for the land. I left feeling like a friend and learnt so much about the land and customs of these special people. Thankyou and good luck with your future adventures and plans guys.
Response from Host, Jun 2021
Frayer, or should I say Fay?
Thank you so much, Sam and I enjoyed your company.
The community has had so much sorry business this year. It is however nice to be working with a community that is still practicing their traditional culture so strongly in 2021.
