Not as advertised, beautiful although strenuous!

Stephanie_L, Feb 2026
If you are looking for a relaxing walk through the rainforest with the opportunity to learn about native plants and see a few birds this is NOT the excursion for you. It was a very steep hike (gaining 1000 feet in elevation) mostly up uneven steps to a viewpoint which didn’t even have a great view. The group size was 16 not the max of 10, as advertised. The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant although the actual tour was not what we expected.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Dear Stephanie_L, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you found your guide knowledgeable and pleasant, but we’re sorry to learn that the hike did not align with your expectations. The Jacquot Trail is considered a moderate to strenuous rainforest hike, with significant elevation gain and uneven natural terrain. We understand that if you were expecting a more leisurely nature walk, the experience may have felt more challenging than anticipated. Your comments highlight how important it is for us to clearly communicate the physical demands of the trail, and we will review how this is described to ensure guests can make fully informed decisions. Regarding group size, we sincerely apologize if the number exceeded what was advertised. We strive to maintain small groups to preserve both safety and the quality of the experience, and we will look into this matter internally. We truly appreciate your balanced feedback and your recognition of our guide’s efforts. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact us at onlinebookings@rainforestadventure.com. Thank you again for visiting, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide an experience better suited to your expectations in the future. Warm regards, Rainforest Adventures St. Lucia Team
