Overview
Visit the Barbados Wildlife Reserve at feeding time to interact with some of the resident animals. This half-day guided tour lets you learn about the biology and behavior of animals such as peacocks, iguana, tortoise, and the Barbados green monkey. We offer pick-up from nearly 300 locations across Barbados, including hotels, condominiums, and villas. As pick-up schedules depend on your exact location and the number of guests travelling, your confirmed pick-up time will be provided within a wider time window. If you have not received your pick-up details by the evening before your tour, please contact us through the message center to reconfirm, as schedules may occasionally be adjusted. Please ensure you provide the name of your hotel or accommodation when booking. Without this information, we are unable to arrange transportation, and your booking may be cancelled.

- A minimum of two adults is required for this tour to operate.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking appropriate precautions before the tour and informing your guide in advance. While we understand that motion sickness can occur and will do our best to make you as comfortable as possible, please be aware that some of our island roads can be both winding and bumpy. We must also ensure the comfort of all our guests and maintain the cleanliness of our vehicles. If you become ill on board and vomiting results in the vehicle requiring professional cleaning, you will be responsible for reimbursing the driver for the cleaning fee before the end of the tour. The cleaning fee ranges from US$75 to US$150, depending on the extent of the cleaning required.
- Guests are not permitted to feed the monkeys; you’ll have the opportunity to watch the sanctuary staff feed them.
- Not recommended for guests with limited mobility or anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs or walking on uneven surfaces.

This tour was perfect! Not only did we get to see lots of monkeys but we also got a tour the island and got some great views and pictures. Our tour guide was great and it was the perfect time if you're just looking for a half-day tour. Thanks for a great experience!
Shein is an amazing guide, really funny and welcoming. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Barbados, the sights we visited and also how to ensure the journey to the pick up points, sites were not awkward or uncomfortable, given we all met each other for the first time.
I really enjoyed the experience, the views and people. Just note, you witness feeding time, you do not get to feed the monkeys.
The monkey feeding and nature reserve was fun to visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
This was well worth doing, the tour guide was lovely and was giving us a talk most of the journey he interacted with us and gave us interesting info about Barbados. But most importantly, the monkeys looked so healthy and happy they were not in the cage and the staff were very good at telling tourists not to touch them and not to feed them.. they really looked after the animals as well. I would highly recommend this tour. Was delighted to see the monkeys Free and happy. 😃
What an amazing day! Our guide Charles was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the island as he took us to the animal sanctuary. Charles even ensured our son saw the Caiman by taking him to them personally, he didn't expect such close encounter! Feeding the monkeys was an unexpected treat. Charles stopped off so we could buy mangos and coconuts and took us to some lovely view points and animal flower cave. Would highly recommend this trip.

There are 3 stops. Animal Flower Cave, Green Monkey Feeding with Nature Walk thru Wildlife Reserve and Cherry Tree Hill. All picturesque.

For the price, this was a good tour. Historical commentary on the sites that we visited was not included when we were on site. It was more of a stop at each point so you can venture on your own. Monkeys were amazing - so many to see!

One of the best Caribbean excursions. Monkeys were everywhere and also got a tour of the island in the car ride. Steve was a great guide!!!
Pickup was great. Charles was great. We only a limited amount of time at the Preserve but we saw the monkey feeding. Monkeys were everywhere. Next we stopped at the northern point at the Animal Flower Cave. It's extra $ if you want to go in, but there are fantastic views without.
Our tour guide Calvin was extremely nice, kept us running on time and well informed! We had the pleasure of meeting and seeing a ton of wild life.
Beautiful excursion seeing the Monkeys with their babies. Our grandchildren really enjoyed it, but I think that the adults enjoyed it even more.
Monkey feeding absolutely amazing experience- more water should be made available, more time at animal flower cave as not enough time to go see it , our guide was lovely and informative. Overall was a great day and highly recommend the animal reserve visit
June is the time to see lots of the very young babies. But for all animal lovers it’s a must do tour. Michael our guide iwas brilliant and very informative about the island history.
The monkeys were so adorable and cute. The title should’ve said watch us feed the monkeys because you won’t give them anything. You will walk, “wear comfortable shoes” & take your pictures lol but still this was nice to see the mommies with their babies holding on. The other two views of the water one called cherry 🍒 tree so beautiful. Total of 4 - 5 hours experience 🥰
This experience includes observing the monkeys being fed. It lasts about 15 minutes. You are within arms reach of monkeys as they jump the branches around you.
Charles, our guide, was a wealth of Barbadian history and shared his knowledge! Very interesting.
What an amazing experience. My children were dying to see some monkeys but we weren’t expecting so many- over 80 of them all just roaming free!! Our driver Winston collected us from our hotel, took us to the animal flower caves too and taught us a lot about the island. He was so funny and knowledgable and really made our tour even better than we could’ve imagined. Thank you so much for such a memorable day with our family:)

The monkey experience and wildlife park were amazing.
As we travelled from the south of the island it felt a little rushed overall, and an extra hour would have been nice so that more of the monkey park could have been explored.

One of the true highlights was visiting the Animal Flower Cave — a breathtaking natural wonder that left us completely in awe. The scenery inside was so unique that we couldn’t stop taking photos. It’s the kind of place that pictures almost don’t do justice.
We covered so much ground, traveling across the entire island and soaking in everything Barbados has to offer. The wildlife reserve was another unforgettable stop — getting to spend time with the monkeys was such a fun, up-close experience that felt genuinely special, not staged or rushed.
Throughout the whole tour, our guide was generous with her knowledge, sharing fascinating facts and stories that gave us a real appreciation for the island’s nature and culture.

This was such a great experience. Our tour guide, Michael was fantastic to spend the half day with. Very informative. The monkey feed was a high light for my children, so many monkeys, so close up. Would highly recommend. This tour was very accommodating to our pick up

We were disappointed before going because as others have said, we thought we were going to be able to interact with the monkeys. That being said we went anyway and had a great time. We enjoyed the nature conservation and the monkey feeding. Our tour guide was amazing and it made it a great day!
Our Tour guide Glynne was great! Pick up from hotel at 9 and all the way up to the wildlife reserve and back he was giving us so much information about where we were and educating us on Barbados. We were given a Rum Punch before we walked around the small wildlife reserve then went to the area for the monkeys being fed. Was amazing being around them, with brand new baby monkeys which made my day seeing them clinging to their Mummies just a foot away from me. Stopped for THE most amazing views. Dropped back to our hotel just after 1.30. Great Day
We had a great time watching the monkeys get fed. I do wish we could’ve held on but it makes sense because they are still wild. Charles was a great guide all throughout, very knowledgeable and funny.
The kids especially loved the animal sanctuary - seeing the monkeys, turtles etc. Our tour guide was awesome!
This trip was historically Informative and beautiful. The scenery on our way to the reservation was amazing. Our tour guide Sheahan was prompt picking us up. He is a very funny and well trained knowledgeable tour guide.
