Our guide indicated this is a newer tour that is being offered but I was very impressed with how they organized the day and how clearly knowledgably they were around the subject matter. Our Guide had us go to the Museum first while most tours went straight to the sight. Not only did going to the museum allow us to get familiar with what we would be seeing but it also gave a quieter environment prior to other bus loads of people arriving. When they did arrive, we headed to the actual sight. It really is amazing seeing the place connected to the Odessey, something that is still taught in todays school system. There is a bit of walking associated but I was able to navigate despite some mobility limitations so should be very comfortable for most. I will say our guide Cihat did very much enhance our experience; he was very passionate and knowledgeable about history and gave so much information about Troy and even context in Modern Turkish culture.
