Gita, our guide, was absolutely fabulous - thoroughly knowledgeable, very engaging and also funny, she imparted so much of Riga’s history and is so passionate about this city. So many of the main sights were included, and it gave us a good basis to explore further in our own - highly recommend spending this time on your first visit to Riga - thanks Gita!!
Tour guide did not show up. Other tour members said the guide did not show up the day before. Another guide said the English tour guide often did not show up.

Hello Virginia, thank you for your review. That's very unfortunate, and it's true that the tour guide didn't show up today because she mixed up the calendar; the day before, another tour guide overslept. It was a bad coincidence; it happened 2 days in a row, but it was the only time this season. It is absolutely not true that it happens often. We have 2 tours every morning - English and Spanish and the guides are always there (maybe sometimes, just at the last minute). Uncertified guides, fined by the police, walk the streets and steal customers from other companies (like us), so they make up whatever nonsense stories. Sorry you had to go on a tour with some of them; the quality suffers significantly. We already apologized to all our customers, and we apologize again. How could it happen 2 days in a row? Anyway, it was the only time this season! Sorry for the bad experience. However, we refunded the money within hours. Message to all future customers: we failed this time, but we've made improvements to ensure it happens even less often than this year.

A great tour through all the major sites in Riga’s old town. Diana is very knowledgeable and pleasant. I’d definitely recommend this tour for first timers in Riga.
Kuna was a wonderful guide, she was funny, witty and kept a good pace. Easy to understand and really gave us a great history of Latvia.
It was our first visit to Riga and Guna our guide was amazing and gave us a huge amount of information about the country. She was very eloquent and had a great sense of humour.
We arrived at the Old Town Center well before the scheduled meeting time, exactly as instructed. It was raining, and we stood there waiting-looking for a tour guide in a green t-shirt, just as the activity description stated. It became uncomfortable and embarrassing having to approach every person wearing green to ask if they were our guide.
No one ever showed up.
We contacted the tour operator after the tour start time and received no response. We paid for an international call to reach Viator customer service, only to be told to keep waiting. After all of that, the only follow-up we received was that the tour operator refused to approve our refund request.
We genuinely do not understand how they can keep our money when the service was never provided.
This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be booking anything with this tour company again.
Riga is such a charming city. We really enjoyed our walking tour and learning a lot about Riga and its people. Our guide was kind enough to point out things to see and do and where the locals eat so we had plenty of places to explore after as well. This walking tour was a perfect addition to a perfect day in Riga!
Susa(spelling?) was very inspirational and knowledgeable about Latvian culture and was even brave enough to share her singing skills which is very important in Latvian culture.
Guide was very good .She had a good knowledge and was clear.
A bit tedious and boring for people who are not too keen on history.

Zane was very entertaining and covered all the major historical landmarks of Old Town Riga while giving us a good perspective on the history of Riga and the Latvian culture. Highly recommend.
The tour group was very large, at least 20+ people. The tour guide also chose to wait for some guests who were late, which felt inconsiderate to everyone who arrived on time. We started the tour about 15 minutes late. Otherwise, the tour was fine.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Got a text indicating our tour was moved 30 minutes later at the same meeting point. I confirmed I received the message and we would see them at 11. We got to the meeting point at 10:50 and stood around until 11:20. The entire time we were looking for anyone with a sign and there was no one. I attempted to text the number that had texted me this morning, no response. I tried to call the number associated, it went straight to voicemail. Tried to message through the Viator app, received no response and of course it’s too late for a refund or to cancel even though THEY moved the time and then the tour guide never showed! So disappointed. Do not recommend and do not book.

Hello. Unfortunatelly, you apparently stood at the wrong place. We had 25 people for the tour. They all showed up, guide greeted them, started the tour with introduction and left the meeting point at 11.10 with the whole group. The fact that the tour has changed time from 10.30 to 11.00 did not play any role, as for that purpose our guide arrived at the meeting point at 10.30 to meet all earlier arrivers. We kindly ask our future customers to google meeting point by using Google maps, not your travel platform, as apparently it can bring you to the wrong place. Especially, we have noticed this to happen for American travellers. We, of course, are sorry you did not find the right meeting point and could not join the tour, every one else joined. :-(
Kristina is super friendly and knowledgeable about the old town. She brought us to the major places to see, gave us tips on where to go, and provided snacks in the middle of the walk. It was fun retracting the paths and exploring on our own afterwards. She took good care of us when there were handphone alerts. Recommended as a starter when in Vilnius!
