Well organised, very punctional, info in the ads is the truth, kind people, clear communication. Know others didn't like breakfast but I liked it (fine for gluten free). Photos are very expensive, but pretty cool. Didn't buy though. Would recommend!

This entire experience was amazing! The ENTIRE staff was very courteous (from the drivers to and from our destination, to the captain of our air balloon flight, to the breakfast staff and the mariachis!). The flight was very smooth, the traditional Mexican breakfast was delicious, and the Mariachi band was very entertaining. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough and would do it again in a heartbeat. Amazing experience with Volare. Everything was smooth and well organised from start to finish. Our pilot, Juan Manuel Diaz, was incredibly skilled and had such a great, positive attitude that made the whole flight even better. He got us impressively close to the pyramids, which made the views feel surreal. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

I didn't know they had waffle houses down here

The hot air balloon was cool! But they tried to charge us 100+ USD for some photos they took which wasn't cool. Also the breakfast was bad. Also the shuttle bus had poor air conditioning. However, in the restaurant where they had us wait to be picked up, two rival mariachi bands got into a violent altercation over a turf war. This was awesome, and as such my rating is increased accordingly. If this sounds scary to you, then perhaps wait outside.

Loved the balloon ride

We chose only the balloon ride foregoing the pickup and drop off option and somewhat regretted it :) def recommend the full package so you don’t have to worry about transportation. However, we loved the balloon ride, everyone was so nice while registering, breakfast was decent, and the photographer made sure to include everyone in the photos and take different types of photos of each group. We ubered to and from separately so we would not be tied to their scheduled and worked out for us. We rented 2 little atvs and were able to see other sections around the pyramids that normally we would not be able to see.

Had looked through a lot of reviews and found it hard to find unbiased reviews. My partner and I booked the balloon ride without the additional time/brunch in a cave etc etc as we had read about the hitsory of the pyramids beforehand and knew that we would probably be too tired to go back to the pyramids after the early wakeup. We are glad we made this decision. We were picked up on time at 4:40am by a large van with other passengers and drove straight to the launch site, no traffic in this direction. We arrived at the Volare building for check in which was efficient and we were offered coffee and a snack. Then waited for the balloons to be inflated while the sun was rising. This part was quite cold and there was no seating, though there were some gas heaters outside. Then we were placed into groups for the hot air balloon ride, each balloon has four sections which can hold four people each. Our pilot was excellent and very friendly. There were around 50 other balloons in the air, only a few balloons (ours included) were able to fly right up past the pyramids, the pilot said this is based on luck and wind conditions. Our ride was around 40 minutes and then we landed at a separate site and were given sparkling wine to celebrate the ride. A van took us back to the Volare building where there was a Mexican breakfast waiting for us - the food was okay, there was also a mariachi band that played around each table (presumably wanting tips). The groups going back to the pyramids were taken via shuttle and our shuttle took us back to mexico city. The ride back took around 1:45 mins due to traffic but we were taken to the same place as our pickup point, by about 10:45am. Over all it was very well organised and efficient and felt very safe. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to others. The photo and video packages are very expensive so be aware when your photos are being taken that you will not receive these photos unless you pay at least 1400MXN depending on the package - be sure to get your own photos too.

we had a great experience and really enjoyed the tour. Pros: * The entire tour was very well organized, from the hotel pickup to the final drop-off. Everything ran smoothly and felt professionally managed. * Our pilot was excellent—professional, knowledgeable, and fun. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the flight. * The breakfast and mariachi performance after the flight were a wonderful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Cons: * The pickup driver drove quite aggressively, which made the ride to the launch site uncomfortable. * The tour started later than scheduled, and as a result we missed the sunrise that had been advertised as part of the experience. * The photo service was not included and came at an additional cost.
