Out of 6 excursions during my stay in Rio this was by far my favorite! Kim was amazing she took care of the crew and myself from beginning to end! This tour really changed my perspective on life. It’s a must do in Rio and it’s a must you ask for Kim. Even the host who does the replying and communicating before you meet your guide was amazing. Thank you all of you I really enjoyed

I waited for 15min at the meeting point in the rain, and nobody showed up, hopefully I can get a refund

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hi, First of all, I sincerely apologize. I only saw your review today, and unfortunately it had gone unnoticed. Around July 14, I was hospitalized with kidney stones and ended up being very ill for about 15 days. During that time, I completely failed to check my TripAdvisor reservations, and because of that I missed your booking. I take full responsibility for this, and I truly understand your frustration. I know this situation was very disappointing, and you had every reason to be upset after waiting for us in the rain. My WhatsApp number is listed on TripAdvisor (+55 21 97135-7033). If you had contacted me there, I—or even someone in my family—would have replied, since your tour was scheduled only two days after the booking. However, I understand that it was my responsibility to see the reservation, not yours to contact me. Your payment was fully refunded, and I did not receive any payment for your reservation. If you ever come back to Rio de Janeiro, please feel free to contact me on WhatsApp. I would love the opportunity to make it up to you by offering you a complimentary Favela Tour. Once again, I am truly sorry for what happened and hope you will accept my sincere apologies.
