Getrude was our tourguide and was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and its history. We had so much fun and got a real taste of Kampala!

Excellent guide, informative, flexible and worked very hard for benefit of his customers. The tour covered a lot of ground and gave a great sense of the centre of Kampala. Highly recommended.

The Independent monument and the bus station were the highlights. It was an emotional and humbling experience walking through the slums.

Ben was the tour guide I had and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and really friendly. By joining this tour, I learnt a lot about the history of this city as well as the culture of the different areas.

Very interesting and comprehensive tour! We covered a lot of ground and really dove into the hustle and bustle of Kampala. Steve was very friendly, responsive and helpful and provided a lot of information. I recommend this tour 100%.

I really enjoyed my tour. It was a well paced tour with a great itinerary and I learnt a lot from Steve's commentary as we went along. Steve was very nice and personable, and even helped me sort an issue with my uber and waited with me until it was enroute. Would definitely recommend.

Definitely recommended you would like to know the city as you will visit places that you would not go into by yourself. :)

Steve was so knowledgeable, friendly, and engaged. It was a great experience, it was lovely
to hear the political, geographical history and to be able to walk around the hidden gems of Uganda that you wouldn’t have been able to see without a tour guide. My fave part was the chats about real Uganda and what is is like living here. Honestly no complaints I would recommend this to everyone visiting Uganda. Ensure you book help boost the economy and TIP! Thanks
Steve for a great time

Steve is very knowledgeable on the history of Kampala. He answered all of my questions and was very patient. I will definetly book him again in the future for other tours. He also suggested the best way to get around and a restaurant called 2k's at the end of our tour. Thank you again Steve!!

wow, ive been on a lot of walking tours but this one must have been the most disappointing.
I was expecting so much more because of all the positive reviews. I dont know whether Steve had a bad day or was burnt out but I can only review what I experienced myself
here’s what I didn’t like:
- lot of the tour felt like Steve was operating on autopilot. It felt like he was reciting facts of a wikipedia article he learnt by heart and already told a hundred times, and it was so obvious. after a while i got so bored i couldnt even focus anymore.
- i didn‘t feel at all that Steve was excited or passionate about showing me the city and his culture, the way I experienced it in other tours. it looked like he was bored himself and relieved when the tour was over
- according to viator this tour is about 4 hours, but it was already over after 3 hours
- many parts of the tour felt like wasted time where we were just walking and he was quiet most of the time. when we walked through markets or slums, he didn’t explain or show me anything, we just rushed through
- also the ending of the tour was very abrupt and disappointing
Positive: Steve gave me some good advice about Kampala, he’s overall a friendly guy, took some nice pictures and helped me to get my first Rolex ;-)
recommendation:
most of the places we’ve visited you can discover by yourself or with a local friend
Otherwise if you want to book this tour, book it as a free version where you can decide how much tip you want to give yourself. That way you won’t feel overcharged when Steve has a bad day. I paid 26.5 dollar for this tour, I would say the experience I had was worth 10-15 dollar max compared to other tours.

Nous avons apprécié le parcours bien étudié hors des sentiers battus et nous avons évité les monuments type palais, mosquée, musée
