The tour is very educational and even if you know about fruit you will learn even more. The tour information is aimed at all levels of tropical fruit knowledge and my favorite part is sampling throughout the tour and the bevy of treats prepared at the end by the farm family. They were very engaging and entertaining while bestowing pearls of smart farming and conservation. We only had one child (15 months old) but she had a blast and tried most of the fruit. I think this is a very family friendly tour. Does get hot in the field but the walk is not too bad-I was on a crutch with a torn meniscus and did it the homemade juice at the end along with fruit dishes were worth it. Reach out to “the vendor” to confirm start time as weather may affect your tour.

This tour was incredibly informational and great for people who want to learn more about Caribbean culture and history. The tour guide (Von) was very knowledgeable and he’s a second or third generation farmer of the property. We were able to taste fruits along the way, may of which I’d never heard of being from the States. After the tour he and his mom prepared squash soup, a few preserved fruits with taro and breadfruit chips, and fresh fruits from the farm. They were all delicious in a beautiful surrounding. We were with a cruise ship but if you prearrange transportation, it’s very doable for time and you get a beautiful drive through the mountains.
