Chiang Rai’s colorful temples are famous, but at around a 3.5-hour drive from Chiang Mai it’s a lengthy day trip. Crowded temples, black house nice surprise

A bit challenging from the point of view of transfer (at least 3h to get to chiang rai) and extremely crowded temples, maybe going back I would have stayed in chiang rai to get there very early in the morning, but this does not depend on the tour operator. The guide was extremely kind and provided us with useful information, appropriate time to visit the temples, even abundant. Perhaps skippable blue temple, nice surprise instead the Black House, very interesting as an exhibition space of contemporary art.
