We are so happy with this great dance class! Natalia did such a good job at patiently showing us through all the basic steps, and correcting our mistakes. It was a fun time where we were all laughing and breaking out a sweat by the end of the night! Would highly recommend.

Super cute rooftop patio with two lovely hosts. Superb teaching! I’ve been to previous salsa lessons, but this time I actually learned. Perfectly pitched to the group, so complete beginners and these with some previous dance experience could learn and enjoy. We also learned some colorful local slang. A great experience!

This was a fun intro to salsa, bachata, and champeta. If you have any experience with these dances then you will probably find it too easy. But it was still a lot of fun. The instructors had great energy and were very attentive and helpful to the class. It was also a good way to socialize with other travelers.

I loved my experience! The instructors were very nice and patient! We learned three different dances and I was able to advance my skills on what I knew. I highly recommend this class!

I was so excited to do this class, my flight got canceled the day of the class. I messaged to try to switch days. Now it’s been three days and still haven’t heard back.

Very quaint experience. Small enough so it was not overwhelming but enough people to make it fun and not awkward. Would highly recommend. This was a wonderful experience!!!

We had options for our welcome drinks.. I love how they broke down the choreography and steps for each style of dance. The teacher was very knowledgeable as well as teaching at a good pace. I was so glad I was able to brush up learning salsa, Bachata, and finally learning Champeta.

This class was a really fun experience to break up a traditional day of sightseeing! The class is held at the home of the two instructors right in the heart of Getsemani. They were super friendly and made learning all of the dance moves accessible to beginners. Since you’re on the roof, you definitely work up a sweat since Cartagena is super hot. They offered everyone beer, shots of rum, and waters throughout the experience. I appreciated the small group setting too so you could mingle with the other participants easily. If you’re going with a partner is a fun date opportunity to feel a connection together. I wish they took more pictures of the group as we were dancing to have as keepsakes but we still took a group selfie at the end.

We loved this dance class so much! The instructor was very passionate, which makes the experience all the more better. We even left learning new vocabulary and slang 😂 would do this 1000 times over

This is a small group event. Lots of fun to learn some salsa, bachata, and champeta!! They had beer, wine, water, and rum shots for the guests.

We were rescheduled to a different day than we had originally booked, which was annoying at first, but ended up working out. Charlie and Jorge were extremely welcoming and friendly. We have some experience with salsa and bachata, but had fun practicing and learned some new tips! We loved learning the local slang and champeta dance and it was great to share the experience with a small group of other travelers. Feeling inspired to go out dancing!

Amazing experience. Would book again! The instructor was great and went at the groups pace, didn’t make anyone feel silly for not getting it

This was beyond what we expected! They have my highest recommendation. If you’re a beginner or know nothing at all, this is perfect for you. Fun, educational, and gives you a great glimpse at the culture. Amazing!

The setting was perfecto! A small intimate group which was immediately put at ease. We were welcomed with drinks and chat. I was lucky enough to learn with the instructor, but we all had fun and learned not only the basic steps of salsa, but bachata and champeta as well. We came away with some bonus Spanish vocabulary as well! Excellent and fun dance instructor!
Highly recommend!

This was a lovely way to spend an evening! Carlos and his partner only accept 8 people. The dance class is on a lovely rooftop deck in Getsemani. We learned basic steps of salsa, bacchata, and champeta. They are great teachers-take something that could be complex and make it fun and straightfoward. There are ample beverages. It was wonderful. Would definitely do this again.

A loved this class. Got to learn steps solo then with a partner. I can say I know salsa and other traditional dances! I totally recommend
Erin_G, Nov 2025
I loved this experience! We had two great, friendly hosts who took time to explain everything at our own pace. The dances were fun and not too difficult and we got great videos of each dance we learned. There were also complimentary drinks and some tips on the local culture of Cartagena. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely worth every penny! As a solo male traveller I thought I’d give it a go to mix with people. I almost didn’t book because i thought I might be the only man (I always, but it didn’t matter one bit) and that I’d be the only solo traveller, which I wasn’t. The boys teaching the class were brilliant, great fun and very engaging. I would 10000% recommend this to anyone, whether as a group or a solo! I can’t praise it enough. Go. Book it now. And enjoy!

What an awesome experience!! This is a must do for solo travelers, couples or groups! The class was instructed so smoothly and it is true that anyone can dance!
Brittany_G, Oct 2025
You learn three different styles of dance and you get to sip wine or drink beer while doing it. It’s very easy and fun. There’s a comfortable environment and we got to see the sunset so it was nice. I would do this again.

The perfect class to take if you are a beginner and may be concerned out feeling confident. Jeff and his team were extremely helpful. They made us all feel comfortable and confident. We weren’t forced to dance with a partner which made those that came alone feel less lonely. Super educational and left feeling like a pro at dancing 😂
Racquel_M, Oct 2025
This was an incredible time. We had a group of all ladies. The instructors were all men but they made everyone feel so safe and comfortable. I was by myself but I didn’t feel out of place or left out. Instructions were clear, the music was incredible, and the drinks were flowing. They even taught the group some slang and history. Champeta is my new favorite style of dance. Thank you all! I can’t wait to return.

Our group had a great time! The hosts were kind and the vibes were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

This experience was absolutely amazing. Jeff and Jorge were very sweet and inviting. They made sure we understood everything and they went above and beyond to show us about Colombian culture. I loved how intimate and fun the experience was. 10/10 recommend.
Jennifer_D, Sep 2025
The class was fantastic. Don’t hesitate to book. Learned 3 dances, met amazing people and learned a bit about Colombian culture!
Darius_C, Sep 2025
Jorge and Jeff were great instructors, they broke everything down into bite sized pieces, which was greatly helpful because I’ve never taken a class in Salsa, Bachata, or Champeta. Came to class nervous, and left with confidence!
Sabina_S, Aug 2025
Great instructors; fun vibe; covers all the steps you need for a night of dancing in Cartagena. Champeta is the highlight!
Minah_M, Aug 2025
Jeff and Jorge were super friendly and personable! The instruction was clear and not intimidating. The group was small enough to get good direction but not so small you felt intimated. Would definitely do it again!
Shane_S, Aug 2025
Jorge and Jeff did a wonderful job! It was a small, intimate class, and they made us feel so welcomed. We had no prior experience, but they made us feel comfortable and confident enough to try. We learned the basics of three dance styles, and they even sent us videos afterward so we could review at home. The class included a great selection of beer, wine, and local rum. Along the way, they also taught us about Cartagena’s culture—sharing local slang and explaining the cultural importance of the dances. The teachers were so passionate, especially Jeff, whose love for dance was contagious. Highly recommend!
