The afternoon opens with food. When you reach the camp there is a welcome drink, then a Thai meal with fruit and unlimited drinks, so you never meet an elephant on an empty stomach. Next is a 15-minute documentary about how elephants raised by people are cared for. Then you join their routine: mix their food and roll vitamin balls, feed them by hand, walk beside them, rub mud onto their skin, follow them into the river and watch them stand under a shower of water. Nobody rides them and they are not chained. After that come three small crafts: a Thai herbal inhaler, paper made from elephant dung, and seed balls for the forest. At 16:00 you drive up to a kitchen hut in the mountains, pick ingredients from its garden and cook dinner over an open fire, with the rice cooked inside a length of bamboo. Drop-off at your hotel is around 18:30. Shared group of up to 15 guests, Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Set an alarm: by 06:30 you are out on Cheow Lan Lake. A local driver steers the wooden longtail out from Ratchaprapha Dam Pier, with an English-speaking guide aboard to explain what you see. The boat heads first for Khao Sam Kloe, a set of three limestone pinnacles whose English name is the Three Brothers. The engine drops to an idle beside them so you can frame your photos while the morning light builds on the limestone. What the morning looks like is up to the weather: you might get low cloud on the hills, a glassy surface or plain open daylight, and each one photographs differently. Next the longtail motors over to a raft house anchored on the reservoir, where fish usually gather near the surface and you can throw them some food. You step back onto the pier at 08:30 with breakfast still to come. Pickup at about 06:00 is included from the Cheowlan-side hotels listed for this tour; if yours is not listed, meet us at Ratchaprapha Dam Pier at 06:20.

Cheow Lan is usually seen from a boat. This afternoon goes into the village that sits beside the dam instead, with a local guide who speaks English. The van collects you at 12:00 and lunch is the first stop: southern Thai dishes served on banana leaves beside the river. Next you board a bamboo raft and a raftsman pushes it along the village waterways while the riverbank goes by. Anyone who wants to cool off can get in the water. The longest part of the afternoon is a walk through Tor Tao forest. Villagers named it for a giant turtle believed to live in it, though guests rarely spot one. Along the trail your guide names the plants that still go into village cooking and home remedies, and partway along the path you step into a cave. Last comes a hilltop over Ratchaprapha Dam. The dam opened in 1987, after the families of the old valley village had moved to the higher ground you spent the afternoon on. Drop-off is around 18:30.

The greener the setting more the relief. The earth has music for those who listen. Being in this place nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into tree. Take a sunbath and refresh your soul with fresh drinks and coconut from the beach bar on the white sandy beach. Boat capacity 35 persons approximately.

Choose between a morning or afternoon slot and set out from Khao Sok into the heart of the jungle with a survival-style bamboo cooking adventure. Begin at a forest camp where locals teach you how to prepare bamboo as natural cookware. Forage fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables from a family-run organic garden, discovering rare southern Thai plants along the way. While your food cooks slowly over an open fire, wander through the lush garden, spot wildlife among fruiting trees, and explore a hidden cave for 30–40 minutes like a true jungle explorer. Return to camp to enjoy your bamboo-cooked meal, rich with smoky aroma and local flavor. Leave with new skills, a deeper connection to Thai forest culture, and memories of a raw jungle-to-table experience beyond a typical cooking class.

Every Tuesday and Friday, a local guide takes a shared group of up to 15 on foot into Khao Sok National Park. Our van collects you from your hotel at about 08:30, and the walking begins at the park gate around 09:30. The route runs 3 km out beside the river, through humid forest, over roots and across the water more than once, to a simple hut standing next to a waterfall. Lunch is cooked right there on an open fire, inside sections of bamboo: plain trail food rather than a sit-down meal. Wild elephants and monkeys share this forest, though spotting either depends on luck. After lunch and a rest you walk the same 3 km back, then trade the trail for an inner tube and a life jacket and let the Sok River current take you on the last leg. It suits active people with moderate fitness who don't mind sweating and getting soaked.
